Baldur's Gate Tales of the Sword Coast will always crash when I click "start new game" or "load game". This only happens on my notebook. The game works properly on my pc. My notebook has a Windows 7 starter edition, while my pc has the standard Windows 7. The game won't crash on the notebook if I try it in the safe mode. I use the Kaspersky antivirus on both the pc and the notebook. The antivirus was actualy a previous issue, making the game crash before opening the main menu on the notebook. Adding the game's .exe to the exclusion list made it work, but now it crashes when I try to start a game. The notebook is new and has hardly any other programs installed, so I don't see what could be causing this.
What else could be the problem? Any ideas? Please?
