I wouldn't think so, especially in brick and mortar retail. Borders, at least, did stock most of the ME books when it was still around. 

I got mine online from The Book Depository, and it shipped before I read this thread... 

(and yeah, that $128 for the CE is awful. If I wasn't such a junkie for Mass Effect I'd have ordered it online for half the price, but I need it on day one)

Added entries for the book on TVTropes They Just Didn't Care and FanonDiscontinuity pages. The text could be improved but the idea is there. I mean the sheer amount of agreement among us always disagreeable types before the book is even out is impressive.

I got an e-mail this morning telling me that Amazon.co.uk have dispatched this book, I was so excited to be getting it that I thought I'd come here. I saw this thread thinking 'yay other people have got and read it, lets see what they think............'

Words can not explain how gutted I am to read the things in here! I'll read the book and then, I'll come back and probably moan, and ask someone from bioware, how they could allow the release of this trite and class it as canon......... after I've read it of course!

Thanks mate, it's my own fault for not double checking before hand!  At least I can say I read it when it does come to me bashing it, first hand experince and all that!

Oh yeah I will.  As fans, we can't allow this type of thing to happen, and we need to back up our arguements with facts so Bioware know we aren't just moaning for the sake of it.  I love Mass Effect and it's universe, I know once these IP's get big it gets harder to controller, just look at Halo and Star Wars!  There is some rubbish set in both settings, and I don't want to see Mass Effect go that way so soon.

Also, have you ever read Halo : The Flood?  If so don't, Dietz also ruined that book, and the characters. If I remember correctly he made the Master Chief swear, when he came across another 'reclaimer' whilst going for the index!   Not once in any book before or after has the MC swore, or lost his cool.  That's just one of many  discrepencys that I can remember.  Bad times.
