I actually got a response from William about the state of the book.

He seemed quite indifferent.

What a debacle.

If we really wanted to get someone's attention, we could inform GLAAD that Bioware let an author retcon a character from being homosexual to being heterosexual. We could cry foul, then they would have some fun PR to work out.

Not exactly playing fair (it was likely done in ignorance, but maybe dietz is a homophobe?), but I don't consider a greedy cash grab as blatant and half-asssed as this book to be playing fair either.

THAT WOULD BE SOOOO DIRTY.

At the very LEAST one of use should venture into the relationship boards of BSN and inform the S/S romancers that Dietz made Hendel play for the other team.  I figure it should be their call whether or not to make a big deal out of it.

If any of these errors make it to ME3 I'm definitely going into someone's house to eat all their cereal.

Not to brag or anything, but I totally called it.

Added link for interview article wherein Dietz cravenly admits to being a money-grubbing mercenary hack writer:

From the article by William C. Dietz.....

As for what can go right, well there's the money I mentioned earlier, plus more books with your name on them, plus more "hits" on the Internet, plus what could be some new business relationships, plus the possibility of some new readers, (Yes, I have reason to believe that least five or six people read HALO: The Flood and went on to purchase other William C. Dietz books!) Good luck out there--and may the gamers be with you.

I've never felt more badass than when I had a bowl of Lucky Charms this morning.

Then I brushed my teeth. WIth a toothbrush.

If someone could PM me the ending and/or major plot points as well, I would be very grateful. I originally wanted to read the book but now I'm not so sure. But I still want to know what happens for... morbid curiosity reasons.

He is real scum, I hope BioWare have learned their lesson not to trust in freelance writers and stick to their own crew.

I read this in Keith David's voice.

I needed a laugh this morning.

Could I convince you to post that? I'd like to read his response.

Also, can someone PM me the ending?

This is so amazing.

Also, to newcomers, I recommend the links in my sig I've saved out for Deception, it sums up things rather well. :D
