I still don't think going after Dietz is the right way to go about things and despite my reaction at the book burning before (and still finding it hilarious that it just wouldn't burn at first), I'm not really crazy about the idea. At all. Just brings up many terrible things to mind from many a history lesson and from what even is occurring today. If you were burning it for warmth, ok. If you ran out of toilet paper, ok. If you have a puppy and still training it and need to cover the floor in case it doesn't pee in the designated vase, ok.

Its not a holy book of scripture, history book, or anything important, relax.
Its a lame ass follow up novel by a merc writer who did it for the money and exposure.

I'm debating it. I was going to buy it, but after all this, I'm not so sure anymore. It seems like the type of thing that's going to be retconned. Like Wolverine. If the story was good, I might be able to look past the errors, but from what I've heard, it doesn't seem to have much going for it.
I wouldn't buy it on the UNDENIABLE FACT that its terrible, but if you really do want it, wait and see if it gets disavowed.

Bioware should have that book rewritten by a new author. They should pretty much change everything in the book.
Well, technically that's not really re-writing, is it?

Disavow the book and have Drew write a true following to it.

Oh I agree, but even Dietz needs to be held accountable for this kind of shoddy writing. There's making mistakes in something you haven't researched all that well and then there's just skimming over the details and making up what you can't remember as you go along. Plus the writing itself is just terrible.
