Who's brilliant idea was it to switch to a new author in the first place? Drew Karpyshyn had a very good hand on the universe, while Dietz clearly didn't if there are this many errors. From what I've read, the mistakes are something anyone could have solved in about an hour of browsing either the ME Wiki, or just reading the book! This "book" isn't canon anymore, it's fan fiction, plain and simple. BioWare, if you have any sense what so ever, you will eject this book from the canon universe and stop selling it as it just makes a mockery of your entire universe. I only found out about this from the Wiki, see the link below. So I may be echoing a few things from there, but there are already a few valid points, and I'm sure they are already here as well.

It was because Drew was moved, or moved himself, to the TOR project.

And it isn't really fan fiction... because he'd have to be a fan.

Yeah, it's just...fiction. Pulp fiction (and not the good, Tarantino kind)

Here it is, people. The video some of you have been waiting for!

Be sure to keep an eye out for your name if it pops up. Hope you guys like this, I spent a good while trying to get it right.

And yes, I thought it was fitting that I'd wear my N7 Armour hoodie for this.

I do not usually encourage this sort of things but in this case I must say it sucks that thing cannot be used even to warm up peoples houses!

so when I say Bioware is OK to spit in the face of their own lore I do not want to hear anymore whining about how they are not doing so....

Well, Chris and Stan were both online today, but no dice.

Again, I'd say wait until Tuesday.

Is it true the book's Wikia page is going to list the errors? That would almost make it worth releasing!

I like how a ragtag group of psychic retards quickly undermines the abilities of some of the most powerful organizations in the galaxy.

Bad read. Is real bad.

The implants aren't called "bio-amps," by the way. Bio-amps are wetware that can be inserted and swapped out at whim. Implants are permanent ports.

That was an excerpt from Deception. So there's an error for you.

No no. Gillian has to get back-alley surgury to upgrade hers. That's after the clinic on the Citadel refused to because they needed to run a full medical workup first. And she paid for the implant upgrade with Berylium slugs, which are THE MOST VALUABLE SUBSTANCE IN THE GALAXY. Oh man. I feel sick.

I know it was an excerpt, but I'm completely confused as to how he got that wrong. I'm just going to assume he didn't play ME1 (where bio-amps are swapped frequently), but if he read about the amps AT ALL, even enough to know the term, he would know that's incorrect.

I sincerely hope this book is not a sign of things to come in ME3 story wise. I am not a big fan of Mac Walters but at least he kept a certain level of continuity in ME2 and kept most of Drew Karpyshyn vision intact, but Dietz just had a field day and knocked all the pictures off the wall. My worst fear is that Mac Walters or any big shot at Bioware actually approved of this book being released.

Except he has to have played ME1. Because his references all seem much closer to ME1 then 2. Really the only references he makes to ME2 are using the Biotic powers. Gillian threw a reave, btw.

Cant believe Bioware let all these errors pass through. Even casual fans will pick up on some of the inconsistencies.. Dissapointed
