Not gonna lie, if there's one good thing to come out of Deception, it's that I actually like Kai Leng now. Still don't take him seriously, but damned if this book wasn't hilarious.

I... I can't quite get a Hendel on myself. This book... It's Nicked my heart. I think it's Kai Leng me inside.... It may end up being the Geth of me.

I don't know if you read the one in the Google Books preview (it's after the Cereal Incident), but what's really sad is how sh*t he is in a fight now.  And so, so dumb. Like "Hey, instead of just sneaking up and killing you, which I've already decided to do, I'm going to alert you to my presence and even point out that it's me under the disguise first" dumb. But then everyone in the novel just randomly becomes stupider than a slime mold whenever Dietz decides he needs them to FOR TEH DRAMAZ.

Didn't Dietz do research before writing this? I thought he played the games and read the novels to get a feel for the universe.
