Could someone please tell me what is so bad about the ending? Is TIM Gillian's father or something?

On the autism: Isn't it stated in Acension that Gillian's autism was brought on by the Cerberus medication? Isn't it possible that without the medication she slowly transformed back into her normal self?

Not necessarily. She was already diagnosed as autistic but it was believed the experiments only worsened her condition. Even so, autism doesn't just "heal over". It's not that simple.

What an awful mess. I'm usually rather forgiving of the occasional error slipping into a book, but this looks like very sloppy research combined with poor editing. I'll steer clear of this one.
Good idea.

Hendel came barging in. He looked like a homeless person and was armed with a shotgun.
...Hobo with a Shotgun? Sorry, I had to.
Somewhere in the Crescent Nebula
The Illusive Man was seated in front of an oval portal that looked out onto the frozen wastes of a planet in the Crescent Nebula.
Did you pay attention? He's in the Crescent Nebula!
God, this book is horrible.

I won't spoil it, but it basically appallingly deals with characters that don't deserve it. None of them act like they did in previous books, and the whole thing seems designed to make an end to the book series.
I'll send you a PM with details.

Gillian's mouth was a horizontal line.
Gee, I thought it was a vertical line. <_<
Anyway, I doubt there will be a statement today. We'll probably get a "Deception is out today! Tell us what you think!" stickied thread tomorrow...

The Illusive Man had returned to his home. If the Spartan offi ce on a remote mining world could be described as such.
What?
Yeah, that's been mentioned a few times. Out of curiosity, I decided to search for "station" on Google Books and got this:
There were a lot of things to work on including a new guerrilla marketing campaign aimed at Alliance-held worlds, the construction of a new space station, and the need to monitor the steady stream of reports from his field agents.
Dietz appears to think the station on which Grayson was held was also the one TIM normally lives on. He also doesn't seem to realize that Cerberus lost quite a bit more than just that one facility in Retribution.

Yeah, Cerberus got absolutely WRECKED in Retribution. Hence this making even less sense.
Cerberus is ALWAYS getting wrecked/terrorised in some way.

Yeah but Anderson and Kahlee wrecked them harder than Shepard EVER did.
Until ME3, I imagine.
