Is the book really that bad?

No wait, don't answer that. I think I know the answer.

I just cancelled my order. Those eleven euro's are better spent elsewhere.

Technically, it was Grayson who "wrecked" Cerberus, by giving the information to Kahlee.

He indirectly wrecked them, then. He may have passed the information to Kahlee, but she and Anderson(along with the turians) are the ones who actually put the wreckage into motion.

He gets the assist.

Oh, and on the whole "quarians have warehouses on Omega 'cause they go there so often" thing? Yeah, here's what quarians really think about Omega, from Ascension:

The name was infamous among the inhabitants of the Migrant Fleet. Unlike those who chose to leave the flotilla of their own accord, or those who never returned from their Pilgrimage, Golo had been banished by the Admiralty. Branded a traitor to his people, Golo had gone to the one place in the galaxy that most mocked everything the quarians stood for and believed in. Somehow he had survived and even profited during his exile, though in Lemm’s mind this only reaffirmed the decision to banish him. Anyone who could carve a life for themselves out of the vile fabric of Omega’s tattered society had to be cruel, ruthless, and completely untrustworthy.

Why haven't I finished this turd yet? I've had the book for days and I usually plow through these books real quick.

Our prayers go with you. No, seriously, you'll need some sort of miracle to finish it and yet stay sane.

While I missed the last 149 post, did Bioware read the book at all before they sent it to the printers?

I really hope Bioware is prepared to handle letters from the disabled community. While I have not read the book yet (and probably never will), it seems like the autism completely disappeared? Ooo..how I wish my hearing loss could just grow out. :P

Plus they also have to deal with the changing of the sexuality of Hendel.

Why would quarians even have warehouses on Omega if they're only there for a short time if they're pilgrims or in Golo's case, exiled?

The best thing we have seen to a quarian business would be Kenn's little shop on Omega and he just had that so he could mop up some money to continue his Pilgrimage.

This song wouldn't exist if he was reading Deception

And yes, I do believe Bioware should prepare to hear stories like Raf's and others who are offended about the whole autism/homosexuality issues, as well as the myriad of other horrible mistakes.

Yeah, plus, his whole deal was basically "Why did I even come here? Such a bad idea..."

It was apparently read through and checked by Casey and another senior member of the team, probably Mac Walters (if Dietz' own acknowledgements page is anything to go by).

Well, since it's already Monday (at least here), it was more of a question of BioWare shutting this down in favor of their own thread. But I guess they're still trying to recompose themselves.

But seriously, an answer should come. Sooner, rather than later.

Oh and that Reading a Book video? Hilarious!

Book's not supposed to be out till tomorrow, so THEN they'll handle either making a new thread or stickying this one(I vote for the LATTER)

You thought it was a JOKE!?

All these people talking about cereal and posting the quote, you still thought it was fake?

Nah brah. Its legit. Completely real. Mr. Adrenaline Junkie himself ate a bowl of Anderson's cereal.

I'd say it was a 50/50 split. Grayson worked for a long time to acquire that intel. Anderson and Kahlee then put it to use.

Found it.

The Retribution chapter specifically states Kai Leng retained his natural appearance when he went to meet Aria

Kai Leng wasn’t worried about being recognized as he made his way through the twisting
thoroughfares of Omega. The last time he had been here his appearance had been carefully altered. This time, as per the Illusive Man’s instructions, he wasn’t wearing a disguise.

The batarian led him up the small staircase into the private booth, then stepped off to the side. Aria didn’t ask him to sit; even if she had, Kai Leng would have declined. Perhaps she knew that, which was why she hadn’t made the offer.

I don’t get involved with people I don’t know,” the Pirate Queen informed him. “So let’s start with you telling me your name.”
“You know I wouldn’t give you my real name,” Kai Leng replied. “I can make something up if you want, but it seems like a waste of time.”
“Are you willing to tell me who you’re working for, at least?”
As instructed, he answered truthfully. “I work for Cerberus. Grayson used to be one of our people.”
Every alien in the booth tensed, except for Aria herself.
“Why is Cerberus in my club?” she demanded coolly.
“My boss wants to make you an offer,” Kai Leng replied.

She even examines what he looks like, in great detail:

Aria had studied the human as he’d crossed the floor of the club and approached her booth. The lean, tattooed man was obviously a highly skilled assassin. He showed neither fear nor bravado, moving through the crowd with the easy grace of a predator on the prowl.

(Side note: Oh, Karpyshynian prose, how I missed thee.)

Thanks for confirming!

I suggest adding something like this to error list:

57. Aria T'Loak doesn't recognise Kai Leng despite meeting him earlied during the events of Retribution - Kai Leng met Aria in the novel ME Retribution. In Retribution it's told that Kai Leng is not wearing any sort of camouflage in the meeting.

Yeah, I hate how Cerberus is handled.

Then again, I never thought they should've been turned into a major enemy in the trilogy.

I preferred them as the side quest buttplugs they were in ME1.

As someone with asperger syndrome ("highly functional autist" or whatever they call it in English =)) myself, I much enjoyed reading about GIllian in Ascension. Sure, she had way more problems than I've ever got, but I could still imagine just how she felt.

Drew did a great job making her autism seem realistic, at least to me. Only thing I found that stood out as odd was her eating patterns, which doesn't at all match any autist-type people I know (though yes, many of us do have "eating patterns" =) if you made me finish my fries before my burger, I'd cringe ;)). That he recognised how even small and easy things like taking in food are coloured by underlying autistic issues was fantastic though.

Sure, it may be shallow, liking her cause of that reason. It's not the only reason, but of course it's a big part of my liking for her. To then see her act so... neurotypical in this book (if perhaps a bit "bonkers", but being bonkers is if anything in direct contradiction to autism) makes me very, very disappointed and sad.
