Probably will...god forbid the "Offical" thread be filled with absolutely NOTHING but negagtive "whining" from the BSN...afterall everyone on BSN is nothing but illogical, raging, sexist, whining, haters that threaten Fire and Pitchforks anytime they disagree with something. At least according to Trolls who post here :P

Well, we can always go with the LPPrince trump card:

Wow... some of the errors in this book could've been explained, but now it's at the point where it's basically impossible for this book to co-exist with the canon; either the rest of the universe is right, or this book is. The only way to accept both is to look at the book as belonging to an entirely alternative universe of ME (I don't mean alternative "playthrough" - that would be liberal - I mean entirely different damn universe).

Common cycle of posters new to this thread and its basis:

"Hey guys, looking forward to this book! Wait, why is everyone so glum?"

"Stupid BSN. I enjoyed the first three novels and you're not stopping me from enjoying this one too. Stupid BSN."

"OK, so there are a few errors. No one's perfect. Lay off his case and enjoy it for what it is."

"OMG!"

And here I am thinking that the books are good. Well at least the books that aren't Deception. I really need to finish Revelation

The three books before this ARE good.

Its Deception that's the odd one out. Its as bad as the others are great.

21. Asari are told to be asexual - in ME1 Liara describes asari as mono-gender, all female species.

26. Crouds in the Citidel chambers

though this is true revelation does state the asari as asexual so he gets the point for that one.

That is also described in revelation as it states when the ambasador is called she notes that the spectators seats are empty.

The same guy who turned a horrible game review into something hilarious.

Actually, the Aria/Cerberus thing is really bugging me now.

Deception takes place before Invasion. As of Invasion, Aria is allowing Cerberus to maintain supply bases on Omega and regularly land ships and move cargo around to support their salvage operations in the Collector base.

This is *after* she found out a Cerberus operative killed her daughter in cold blood, an operative that The Illusive Man later rescued with a fake ransom right under Aria's nose.

Aria's obsession with her daughter's murderer is practically her role in Deception. With lines like these...

If the Illusive Man was in any way responsible for Liselle’s death T’Loak wanted to know about it. “Go on.”

The knowledge gave T’Loak a deep sense of satisfaction and fed her ever- growing desire for revenge. Leng was going to die.

(not to mention: "So T’Loak read, and read, until she was couldn’t read anymore.)

She knows Leng killed her daughter. She knows TIM helped Leng escape.

Why in the flying frak would she allow Cerberus to maintain bases on Omega?

No, he don't. And he don't want it. And he don't want to think on it  And please, stop suggesting some connection between him and Deception or he never stop crying in bathroom.

They're passable. I'd even call the second and third ones decent. But regardless, the one constant here is that the fourth is trash.

No one in this thread does, otherwise we wouldn't be criticizing Deception.

Is Drew involved in ME3 in any way? Didn't Mac Walters consult on this book? If he let the errors in this book pass, then I'd be extremely concerned if he was fully in charge of ME3's writing. Especially considering the leaked script.

Since I'm pretty sure my Shepard has engaged in some sort of congress with Liara, I don't think anyone gets the point for this. Revelation was finalized before ME1 was released. Both games clearly state that Asari are an all-female race. They are definitely not asexual.

Because this novel didn't happen. It's the only way it can work.

Drew was moved onto the SWTOR project.
