The letter designates rank, the number designates profiiency. N is for Special Forces personel. Unless you were hinting something I was oblivious to? If not the number goes from 1-7. Leng should be an N7 like Shepard, not N6.

It was torpedo moving undergound , which hit hideout of one gang  from bellow.

The destruction had been caused by a  specially modified sub-surface torpedo launched from more than a kilometer away.  After burrowing around a number of underground obstructions, the weapon had blown a hole in the crawler's belly...

I can totally see Dietz working this up:
"I need something exotic, she is a pirate right? and pirates live in the sea, so she would be using torpedoes, that would fit her character. There's no water though, oh, but I could put some wheels to that torpedo. Yeah, problem solved. Damn I'm good!"


So it was actually some sort of mole bomb.

Yes, but has Dietz misunderstood the way Omega is built (as in, he thinks it is built on top of the asteroid and so the torpedo would go through the asteroid), or didn't he just do the research?
