The rate at which we're getting new pages, daaaang.

I imagine it will be worse in the next couple of days.

Why is that?

Well, we only know most of these things from Google and because some people got it early. Tomorrow is the official release date. When people get it and start reading it, they'll be sure to come here to show their... displeasure, to put it mildly. That's when things are going to blow up.

Something to  possible erros - Grayson transformation
In Retribution is Grayson infected by selfreplicating nanites send in his head, immediatelly become unconcious and nanites then change his body, when he was lockdwon and isolated. Unfortunatelly I haven't this part in English so I can't quote it.
In Deception is proces described like this:

The air at the center of the chamber shimmered, a picture took shape, and Grayson began to scream. His body was naked, he had been strapped to some sort of framework, and his skin had a grayish tint. Open incisions could be seen on his legs. And as he screamed, thin snake-like cables could be seen entering his body, apparently of their volition.
And, as the camera zoomed out, people wearing lab coats could be seen. "No!" Grayson said, as his eyes flicked from face to face. "For the love of god stop them. I'll do anything... Anything you want. Don't let them do this to me."
But rather than stop the process the onlookers took notes as the cable things squirmed under the surface of Grayson's skin, dimly seen lights appeared under his epidermis, and the cords in his neck stood out. "Kill meeeee," Grayson whimpered. "Please kill me," but no one did

I kind of feel bad for Dietz. All that bashing, and I think some (or should I say a substantial part of) the fault lies in Bioware... to an extent...

I feel bad for him too...but still...*double facepalm*

If Grayson thought that was bad... I just hope he's grateful he died so couldn't be present in this abomination any more than this.

I did some searching and it appears that Deception was supposed to be released in Oct. 2011, the same time as ME: Invasion comic #1 was released.

ME Invasion comic plot is said to be continued in ME3 so the story was probably finished way before issue #1 was out.

I think Dietz probably had the knowledge or should had knowledge about what's going to happen in Invasion, so he could tie his novel with it. He dropped the ball.
Then Walters who was supposed to be checking Deception "line-by-line" as Dietz put it, also dropped the ball when he allowed Dietz to contradict his own work in a way that is really mind blowing.

What the hell happened? I could understand, though not necessarily like if they wanted to end certain story lines because Drew isn't working any more with ME franchise, but that they allowed Dietz to contradict events that are tie in for ME3 is... I don't even know what it is.

Why do I now have that scene from "The Mummy" where the guy is getting eaten from the inside out by flesh-eating scarab beetles stuck in my head? :pinched:

From what you've all said, even could have written this book better than that guy.

You know, I'd have just... read Mass Effect stuff beforehand.

Hmm... Just saying, but I think you should add the pages on which the errors happen to the doc as well? Not required but, it would be cool.

uh......yeah what could possibly come out of this?

The aim is for Bioware to disavow the novel from official Mass Effect Franchise lore.
In other words, make it noncanonical. It never happened.

so we are assuming Bioware is not aware of how crappy it is

Nobody's going to diss their own book before it's even released.  You'd be lucky to see an author do that a year after its released if ever.
