At the end of the day, nothing in the book REALLY has any effect on the game. So yeah, I'm just going pretend I never read any of it. And to be totally fair, while they were more factually correct, Drew's books weren't any better from a literary standpoint either.

Drews writing looks like pulitzer winning stuff in comparison to Dietz work. There are just so many things off in so many levels in Deception that it's difficult to explain.

Actually it might be fair; because if she was able to "grow out" of her Autistic phase in 3 years, she would've already been talking to me about how hurt she would be about a science fiction book.

That needs to be read by EVERYONE.

And then I serious'd at:

"17. Hendel Mitra is described as ogling asari strippers, a very heterosexual reaction - Hendel was established as homosexual in Ascension."

So hi. I'll just settle in and watch everyone rage while continuing to read the list of failures that piece together this "book."

I seriously hope BioWare see this.

It's one thing to blow holes in the lore and the timeline, it's another entirely to feature such offensive content - regardless of how it managed to creep into the book. Between this and Hendel's "straightening out", I'm at a complete loss for words.

If you want to see the difference between Dietz and Karpyshyn, just read the part where Gillian loses it in the cafeteria in Ascension, then compare it to the way any random usage of biotics is described in Deception. The difference is pretty damn immense.
