If you want to see the difference between Dietz and Karpyshyn, just read the part where Gillian loses it in the cafeteria in Ascension, then compare it to the way any random usage of biotics is described in Deception. The difference is pretty damn immense.

That would force me to read any part of Deception again. I'd happily go to Ascension though.

To be fair, the drugs Cerberus were giving her might have made her Autistic like, and only have being off the drugs for years did she suddenly change.

But from what I understand, the book didn't go in this direction.

For now, just wait till the book is "officially" released - we don't want to create any reason for this thread to get locked (especially since that's how the previous one died).

I'm also hoping that they decide to keep this thread as the official Deception thread, but guess we'll find out within the next day.

We've said this before. He makes one reference, calling her an "unstable twelve year old". Then never mentions it again. If he had taken just a moment to explain it, he'd get a lot of credit for it. But he doesn't. He just pretends it never existed.
