Well if for one thing, the only guy who tried to protect it saying he'll judge when he's read it (Hello Man) has also revoked his opinion and turned towards the unified loathe. :P

Didn't know I was that Popular. :D

I agree its horrible. Besides why would I want to defend it in such a thread anyway. I saw a pathetic attempt last night by some one trying to defend it.

I mainly getting it to complete the collection even if it is bad.

Well, I sent Mac Walters a tweet asking about Deception's exact place in the timeline so that last error up in the air can hopefully be confirmed. I'm sure it's got to be confirmed, there are so many things that point to after ME2. Then again, this being Deception. >.>

I'll tell you when he tweets unless I'm asleep by then. Throw my name on the list of contributors if true because I can't edit the damn doc due to y'all using it too.

I sent pm to Jeff Zero to add you also in the OP contributors list.

Cheers! :wizard:

So Wrex finally received his copy of Deception.

Not even a 1000 year old Krogan battlemaster can handle this.

I bet this reaction is overwhelming the hell out of them.

It should, at least.

I would think so. I mean, sure, pretty much every single think they add, take away, or design has defenders and opponents...but this book has proven to be undefendable. If Johnny Cochran were hired to defend it in court, he'd give a refund and tell it "good luck"

One would hope, perhaps optomistically, that moments like this serve as a quality check that renews a creators attention to detail.

Or gets DREW BACK ON THE MASS EFFECT PROJECT.

right.......you seriously think they'll do anything

How often do you see this massive level of fail? seriously? If there is ANYTHING left of the old Bioware...ANYTHING AT ALL....we can at least HOPE SOMETHING is done about it.

I am with you.....but...I'm not sure they could do anything or WANT to. I mean....the did OK it, they read it...they know

Perhaps when a universe gets as big as Star Wars...and it's near impossible to track everything that is "offical". But Mass Effect is still new in grand scheme....and small considering the amount of current content when compared to something like Star Wars. But with an IP still at this level...it's pretty damned hard to miss.

Oh sure.

Hence why we can all be thankful the mass effect audience is still wide awake and unwilling to accept under par.

#54 on the list isn't really a mistake. It's more of a nitpick with no basis in fact. While it's true that 90% of their population is male and females are indeed powerful figures within their society, there's nothing to suggest that an individual female wouldn't go off and become mercenary as opposed to being a salarian ****** dumpster.

The problem is that it isn't treated as remarkable.  Dietz demonstrates no understanding that this is highly unusual.

We must be grateful for the little things Dietz didn't. At least it wasn't a toothpick (or maybe that didn't went past the editor.)

I think Kai Leng is just gonna need a hug in ME3, he sounds like he was bullied in high school and is taking his adolescent vengeance out in Deception.

OP is now reasonably up-to-date on contributors. Lady Amell has created a discussion group I've gladly agreed to link when I get home later, but as it stands I'm using my limited cellphone features to work. I can't copy hyperlinks like this. Sad face.

I'm not a group kind of guy, so make sure to leave me out of any invitations.

Oh, I won't be handling the board. This is Lady's project. So no threat of invitations from me. :P

I'd agree with that.  There are plenty of errors in this, but let's not go overboard.  There's a female salarian agent that Grissom (or is it Anderson?) talks to in Revelation, I think?  Might be rare, but some of them are probably going to venture out.

Again, Revelation is not an excuse: it was written and published many months before ME1 finished production.  Things were changed in the meantime.  All this does is further demonstrate Dietz' shallowness of research.

Yeah, Revelation was far enough before Mass Effect that it has an excuse.

The games take priority anyway.

Mass Effect: Redundancy by William C. Dietz

Charter 12, "Truly, Omega"

As he pushed the husked Linda in to the airlock, Brad thought of the chances of his survival in sub below zero space. It wasn't good, not when one must deal with a former husked Vanguard-class asari commando. The heat of space washed over the two and they were gone.

Gene looked in horror at the departing Reaper shuttle, he knelt down into the warm omega red grass.

"Why! Why do you leave me?!" He yelled into the dank colorless space.

"Because," the Head Reaper whispered to him "YOU! Are the reapers."

"NOOOOOOOO!!!" Gene yelled and threw up his arms in shock.
