Hey, maybe Casey isn't talking to us because he's discussing how to handle this situation with the other big boys in Bioware.

Eh? Eh?

EEEEEH!?

Well, this has to go to the higher ups.  Then, of course, you probably have some type of public relations or marketing team you have to consult with.  Then, you have to talk about this with EA due to being the publisher.  I'm sure there's a very complicated system they have to go through that I have no idea about before making public statements.  Since it's only a book that was essentially meant to just get money as a warm up to ME3, I guess the general response will be to ignore it.  I'm more curious to know if they'll actually open up a thread in the 'news' part of the forum to announce it's released.

Ok, ok, ok...I wanted to hold off reading the excerpt because I wanted to take a crack at the full book later on...you know, for curiosity's sake. But I couldn't wait any longer and I must say...wow, just wow. I could only make it to the end of the first paragraph. Lore aside, Dietz is an awful author.

Did he really use the nouns "things" and "place" in the same sentence. Professional writer?
Then he feels the need to "explain" that Kai Leng is an extremist/racist...Ya, thanks, Dietz. I would have never picked up on that had you not literally spelled it out. God forbid you develop the characters through their actions and thoughts, then allow the readers to conclude who these personalities are and what they stand for.

But no, it's necessary to fill the page up with muck in order to dilute what many on this thread have already confirmed to be a plot-less heap of text. If brevity is the soul of wit, then Dietz is truly quite witless.

Wow, that list of errors is severely embarrassing. It's like the whole book is completely wrong. I thought Revelation was pretty weak but this is a disgrace. They shouldn't have released this trash. I read another Dietz book before (I think it was Halo) and it was also crap.

Technically, Bioware Past now OK'd the book.

I don't see why Dietz still seems to get more flak for this.  Bioware/EA's ultimately the company that OK'd the book, so it's ultimately, their responsibility.

With a ever growing list  its obvious that this is bad and for people that are too stubborn well they can read the list for the horrible truth.

I warned ya.

Then, having completed his mission, Leng limped away. His right leg was on fire. But the matrix was safe, The Illusive Man would be pleased, and he could leave Khar'shan. Life was good.

Wait, if Kai Leng's leg is on fire, why doesn't he stop to put it out?

As long as it's not presented as an error I'm okay with it being there.  Otherwise... yeah, it makes the list harder to take seriously by the devs.  Which is important really - like it or not, if we're going to make a list that we want them to take seriously, we can't put stuff in there that looks nitpicky.  This comes from someone who completely agrees that there should be some mention that the female salarian is unusual.

Shouldn't be presented as an error. It comes across as nerdrage. Yes, the female salarian is unusual but not improbable and therefore not a mistake. So Dietz didn't make a big deal about it... well, whatever. He had other things to f*ck up.

#54 on the list isn't really a mistake. It's more of a nitpick with no basis in fact. While it's true that 90% of their population is male and females are indeed powerful figures within their society, there's nothing to suggest that an individual female wouldn't go off and become mercenary as opposed to being a salarian ****** dumpster.

The problem is that it isn't treated as remarkable.  Dietz demonstrates no understanding that this is highly unusual.

Doesn't make it an error. It's more of a beef if anything and shouldn't be on the list. Just sayin'.

No, the lack of a proper explanation makes it an error. As does the fact that Nick doesn't think "Holy sh*t! A salarian female!"

And why is there no mention of the stupid jewel Gillian got as a gift that somehow shows Grayson being "altered'. Wouldn't such a gift precede those events?

There is.  I put it on there myself.
