Penny Arcade could offer a lot of publicity if this news reaches far enough though I still doubt it since Penny Arcade and Bioware have a pretty good relationship.

Anyone get the feeling Dietz is dreading when this goes totally public in a few hours?

It'll go public when the public gets their hands on the novel and realizes that it sucks, then realizing there's all of us here WAY ahead of them.

You know, for a thread never stickied, we're doing one hell of a job.

What do you hope to accomplish, though? I doubt Bioware will pay attention. When changes from DA:O were announced for DAII people raged on the forums. When the game arrived people raged on the forums. They just dismissed the concerns as "a storm in a teacup". When the poor sales arrived they dismissed those too. Now that sites are naming DA2 disappointment of the year they still don't care. In the Mass Effect department, when the leaked script revealed how renegades had been shafted, people raged and were ignored.

What makes this different from all those times?

Don't get me wrong, normally I find it amusing when the fans rage, but that's usually over simple - and often subjective - things that you can take or leave. But this? This is something entirely different. This (appears) to be completely justified and totally sh*tty on behalf of the Bioware team. They need to be made aware whether anything is done or not.

Because it's not so much rage for this as a real drive from most everyone to get this noticed by Bioware. This is a real community effort happening right here right now..

One thing is to gather errors in one document to lend a hand for ME Wiki.
Then, this is as much fun as we are going to get from Deception and more people know about quality of this product less people are going to buy it.
What comes to "When the poor sales arrived they dismissed those too." not going to happen. They may say that it doesn't matter but that's not how the business work. Stanley Woo has said it in several topics that the best and practically only way to influece is voting with your wallet.

Oh, they care about all the DA2 stuff.  They just don't want to decrease their already low chances of further sales.

They don't pay attention to much pre-release hysteria because they know these people don't have the whole product to judge from.

This time we're talking about blatant contradictions to the lore in a novel.  Nothing subjective about it.

Okay I got the toothbrush thing now.

I shall vacate the premises and hope that I NOT return to a smoking internet crater from all the backdraft that is sure to take place.

Penny Arcade made a comic ridiculing the Blondie haters during the FemShep polling, so I imagine they could do something for this too if they heard about it.

Yezzir.

Like I said several times in the past, don't expect anything till tomorrow.

Why are you expecting them to respond to this thread tomorrow?

The novel officially releases tomorrow. Everyone who has it now got it earlier than intended.

I assume they'll continue to ignore this thread even after the book comes out.  What would they be able to say after the book releases that they can't say now?

@ddv.rsa: I totally agree with you. The fans can rage as much as they want, Bioware will still have their way with the games/books/etc... And this is what makes me afraid the most for Dragon Age 3 (IF there even comes one). I just hope they take into account the criticism and actually DO something about it this time. Sorry for going off-topic here.

It would have been better if were the scene where Aria gets upset with the datapad.

I mean Casey Hudson knows the universe pretty well, Im sure he would have picked up on some of this stuff if he had actually read it.

Yeah he knows it so well he once mistook Tali for Liara and also said Liara wasn't female.

Oh, he knows better.  That was him busting out the PR nonsense when someone surprised him in a chat with a "You allowed a lesbian romance, so why not more gay romances?" question. As far as the Tali/Liara thing, that was just a simple mistake. Everyone mixes up names now and then.

If we all thought like that nothing would be accomplished.

I'm leading the charge for a novel disavowed. We CAN make it happen if we try and try and try.

Stick with us.

Considering I have a friend who goes to Game Designing school in Canada...a ME Dev...whos name I cannot recall...was a guest speaker that day...she asked him "What do you think about DA2?" He was reluctent to answer that question...but she pressed him and basiclly said "DA2 is not a sequal to DAO...it is a half game...a rushed game...and I've said far too much already."
