Conrad. The fans need the greatness of his book and they need it now, he doesn't have time for "research". Besides, his supportive publisher told him it was ok. She even got him some very convincing cover art.

They're probably holding onto "I bet there's some fans out there. They either just don't want to speak up or don't use BSN". Which very well may be the case but so far no fans that are out right saying it. At this point they'd probably be looked at as trolls anyway

All of them are smart enough to know it's a travesty. Mods and users bombarding a new product with hatred would be an awesome sight though.

I bet they may be waiting till it's out to say anything positive (Lol, keep fooling yourself that it's good guys) or negitive (which is highly unlikely). Or they will not say anything at all or wait a few weeks or months.

Well, I am too, but they brought this on themselves. The Microsoft thing was completely out of their hands as far as I know.
