I'll probably go to sleep in a couple of hours! I'll miss the fun, but hopefully you guys can carry on for me until I get back!

And yes, I'm totally up for uniting us under a common cause!

Edit: Also, what is it with me and getting new page posts? :D

You know what else this book reminds me of? Bloodwings: Pumpkinhead's Revenge for the PC. You wanna talk about nothing making any ****ing sense? Play THAT.

Oh, and the ending to that game seems extremely relevant to this, too

Was just thinking the same thing, actually. Hah.

Yeah, if y'all pass out, its fine. We've added so much discussion to this thread today I think we all have earned a well deserved rest.

Don't be afraid to miss the midnight spoiler point.

A book so bad it united the BSN.

^That should be added to the rest of the stuff that we decided would be on the back cover

This historic event MUST be marked in the annals of history...to be remembered for all time...for when our united front eventually ends...and we go back to our heated disagreements and flame wars. We will always be able to go back and tell each other..."At least we'll always have the Deception Thread..."

"Sons of Mass Effect! Of Bioware! My brothers. I see in your eyes the same disgust that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the rage of Men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of fellowship, but it is not this day. An hour of bad grammar and shattered lore when the Age of Bioware comes crashing down, but it is not this day! This day we RAEG! By all that you hold dear on this good earth, I bid you stand, Fans of Bioware!"

Kinda reminds me of Cyrus' speech (well, the first two minutes of it at least)

Can you count, SUCKAS?! I say the reception is clear; if YOU can count!

Now look, what we have here before us: we've got the Talimancers, sitting next to the Mirimancers. We've got the Vega skeptics, right by the Vega fans. Nobody is flaming nobody.

That...is a miracle. And miracles is the way things ought to be.

You are now viewing fan rage, from a hundred pages, and there's over a hundred more. That's 5000 pissed-off posts. 17000 views, and thousands more on the way.

Now there ain't but a few hours until the novel even comes out.

Can you dig it?

CAN YOU DIG IT?

CAAAAAN YOU DIG IIIIIIIT?

I wonder if the Biowarians are proud of us for sticking together and fighting for a cause we believe in.

I sure hope so. We're sticking up for a universe they created.

I think they'll be impressed. This is a once in a life time event.

Wow, I've actually really enjoyed some of Dietz's other books (sans Halo: The Flood). Maybe this guy just isn't very good when he works on previously established universes. Either way, this is.... concerning.

Damn straight. We wouldn't be burning books and slandering this thing if we didn't LOVE what Bioware gave us back in 2007 through to now.

Well, I'm getting this load of Dietz at midnight (or whenever it releases in iTunes books). I'm excited, in a completely masochistic way.

Seems so. I don't think this will ever happen again on the history of these boards.

Deception sure as hell reeks of bad writing, editing, and general lack of giving a rat's ass.

Indeed. BioWare was pretty much the single reason I started gaming again. And this thread was the cause for my first post since I registered in 2010. They should really know better.

[EDIT]Split posts due to thread evolving to fast. Read on.[/EDIT]
