I wonder if the Biowarians are proud of us for sticking together and fighting for a cause we believe in.
I sure hope so. We're sticking up for a universe they created.
Damn straight. We wouldn't be burning books and slandering this thing if we didn't LOVE what Bioware gave us back in 2007 through to now.
Indeed. BioWare was pretty much the single reason I started gaming again. And this thread was the cause for my first post since I registered in 2010. They should really know better.
My friend Raf is a lurker. Hell, he only had 3 views on his profile and he joined the BSN three months after me.
He never posts.
Yet he came here and told us the story of his autistic sister and how that affected his view on this ridding of autism in the story.
Its amazing what this thread caused.
Due to a huge amount of replies occurring while I was typing, I figured it would be best if I reposted this in order to not invalidate my original post.
I do agree with you that ME so far (except for this abomination) has
been quite a thrill, and I like it a lot. I would say this is due to a
lot of heart and soul poured into the production of the games on the ME
team's part, and I really want to congratulate and I really want to
praise everyone involved for their efforts. This "novel" is just
unworthy of the amount of dedication and energy that went into this
franchise so far.
I hope this thread will lead them to realize this, and to either update the novel according to the standards which were set by Drew before (which were not very high, but decent in every way and I personally liked having more backstory a lot!), or remove it from the canon ME universe entirely (seriously, 2 novels of character buildup and then this? (Why would you invalidate the previous novel's developments in such a way? WHY?))
(And yes, I did nest brackets. Programming may do that to you, too.)
