I'm pretty sure if you have a mild case of Autism (Aspergers syndrome) you can improve slightly. Or did miss something were she seems to not have it at all?

From the bits I read with her in it, it seemed like she never had it.

Ok, so Didy was kind enough to share the ending of the plotline with me and... Well, I facepalmed.

I wonder whether that twist was ever approved by anyone from ME team.

But it mentions she had it. So maybe its not best to talk about her autism. If theirs expert then your expertise would be welcomed. I know a good chuck about about aspergers because doctors usually sometimes coincide ADHD and aspergers.

Ok I know obviously from reading the post this isn't the best one out their. But are you guys honestly ok with ruining the rest of the book for you?

After reading what the first post linked to and hearing the ending, I don't want the book because EVERYTHING I know about it is bad.

You see, the fact is, you can hardly ruin something that was already ruined by the author.

Hmm. Its probably best I shouldn't had asked. Its quite obvious that if you hate the beggining you might as well read the end.

Most of those things I dont really care about.  I understand bad writing as in not really entertaining but, Dietz doesn't seem to have gotten much help either. I see failure on both parties.

No it damn well does not mention it.  If you're feeling especially charitable, you might allow that it alludes to it.  I'm not feeling anything like that charitable however.

Whatever stops that atrocity from being referenced in ME3 works for me.

Is that likely?. I mean you could buy a really short summery of the 2 first books in ME2.

Mentioning it requires actually using the damn word "autistic".

Well I'm sorry if everything has to be taken word for word. :wizard:

I just read the ending... And now I wished I didn't.

There are no words. None.

If you have any respect for any of the characters from the book-verse, just... pretend it doesn't exist. :crying:

She had been a very unstable twelveyear-old when they first met.

Here's the cereal scene, in case you haven't searched it up yet.

Working with the speed and certainty of the experienced
operative that he was, Leng placed the pickups
in locations that, when taken together, would
provide complete coverage of everything that took
place in the apartment. Then, having placed a wireless
tap under the comm console, he was done. Or
should have been done. But Leng was something of
an adrenaline junkie and enjoyed being where he was.
That’s why he checked the cupboards, located some
cereal, and had breakfast before putting everything
back exactly as it had been.
It was his apartment now,
meaning a place where everything that happened
would be known to him, and to Cerberus. The thought
pleased him and Leng was still smiling as he left.

The context only makes it worse...! I am not giving money for this thing.

Anyhow could someone PM me the ending, please? I need to know how bad it actually is.

Wow that's the first time I read it in its entirety. I... wow where do I begin? I mean, it's so funny how the language is terribad until the cereal comes out. The writing actually gets a lot better as soon as it mentions he's an adrenaline junkie. Does this mean Dietz thought it was such a masterful and awesome scene he had to rewrite that part of it three-four times to get it to sound better?

I mean the language in the first part is absolutely atrocious. You don't write that way. This isn't words in a book, it's someone paraphrasing a book. Then when the wording gets better... cereal.

I feel dirty now.

That bad, huh?

Well, Gillian, Anderson and Leng are pretty much the only characters I care about, anyway.
