I actually don't even know why that's its own biotic power to begin with. It's nothing special.AVPen wrote...
And we can add another biotic power to Gillian's repertoire - she uses Slam on a mugger on Omega.

I thought it was a bit of both.Mr.Kusy wrote...
So, who noticed that Kotaku is actually sort of making fun of nerds nitpicking a book, than showing how flawed the book is?
Just sayin.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. There was no reason to use anyone other than Karpyshyn.

No. Copy-pasted it from the game's TLK file (there's a tool someone made that converts it into XML).

It feels like Bioware handed him a brief saying "get rid of these characters somehow, oh and give Kai Leng an upgrade, because that's in ME3".
Deception handled the continuity and characters of previous novels appallingly. The way it ended was abysmal. The motivations of the 'protagonists' were nonsensical.
If or when we can post spoilers, I want to point out that using a female character we met in one scene as an excuse for what happens to two other major characters is ridiculous.
And Kahlee's line on seeing it all: "Why you rotten bastard, I ought to..." take the cake for being the most inappropriate thing, given the circumstances, that I think I've ever read in a written piece of literature.

Going through this thread, I'm starting to feel this is going to end up as circle-bashing. Yes the book is god awful and atrocious but does it really need to be repeated again and again and again? Bioware is almost certainly going to ignore it canonically as they do everything else. It just seems like you're beating a dead horse at a certain point.
It does deserve this - the horse is not dead enough.

It's all over the internet how absolute **** the book is, even by videogame novel standards. I mean what more is there?

Cool! I just recognized that you're the guy who did all the unused audio from ME2. Cool stuff man. It is great to be chatting with such awesome people.
P.S. Hope I don't sound like Conrad, just expressing how great it is to be doing this.

We're just rejoicing in one of the few moments virtually every person on BSN agrees on something. Also, we're hoping Bioware takes notice and declares it non-canon.AlphaJarmel wrote...

Hopefully if we keep at it here, it will give Bioware a wake up call to start protecting their own Mass Effect lore, which in turn will help them out in keeping their own franchise stronger!

Well, a close second has to be this, which occurs right after Anderson and Kahlee just got finished looking at a bunch of corpses in the C-Sec morgue to make sure none of them were Nick:
Kahlee smiled as they strolled out into the artificial sunlight. “A naughty admiral. I like it. Come on,” she said. “I’m in the mood for an asari stir-fry tonight.”
He grinned. “And for dessert?”
“That,” Kahlee said, “is for me to know and for you to find out.”

We can stop shortly after the sadly unaware stop walking in here posting that if they had known the book was so bad they never would have ordered it. I was one of the lucky ones who canceled it in time.
