Amazon.com Deception reviews are still go!

The three star reviewer dropped it too two stars and then deleted the review altogether. Very interesting.

Well, there is now a 5-star review. The reviewer has '#1 HALL OF FAMER REVIEWER' and 'TOP 1000 REVIEWER' under her name. I don't know how Amazon works, but I suppose that makes her someone important.

It just seems to make all three books totally redundant - I can't remember the last time I looked back after reading a series of books and thought "WTF was the point of that?"

Yep.

I'm still slightly stunned.

There's even a weird attempt to leave a hook in there for a future novel involving Zon (and/or Von, Dietz isn't sure of her name and regularly confuses them on the same page) who is a biotic supremicist that we see for about four pages in total.

Her characterisation is cardboard-thin, and if she's meant to be the antagonist for any future work, I don't even know what to say. They killed Gillian, Hendel and Nick for this?!

Er....First?? You mean....THERE MIGHT BE MORE????

I feel sick.

Its all BS, don't worry about it.

Yep. I skimmed some of their other reviews.

Everything looks like marketing speak.

She probably just rates everything 5 stars.

Her review says NOTHING of the book, its not even a review. Actually it says nothing at all about the book.

Its BS. Thumb it the hell down.

Why is there a metal detector? In Afterlife you were checked for hidden weapons/bombs with just an Omni tool.

William Dietz, just announced as the new lead writer for Bioware's award-winning Mass Effect series, had this to say:

"I'm really excited to work with such a rich universe. It's got all the things a science fiction epic should have! Lasers, hot blue chicks, teenagers with inexplicable powers... I look forward to my next paycheck... I mean steering this series where it need to go!"

Too much? Too much.

It's a very sad book, not only is the writing so full of expositions(which everyone has pointed out) but the lore is in such disregard. I can honestly not see anyone that isn't into mass effect buying this, so why so much expositions?

Funny enough, I thought the same thing.  But they appear to still have toothbrushes and stilted dialogue in the future, so idk.

Dietz is a terrible writer, thats why. He didn't even think about who was going to be buying the book.

I.e., NO ONE at this point.

Jake, you're effectively the de facto leader of our wikia brethren.

FYI: http://en.wikipedia....arriet_Klausner

"Klausner has been criticized by those who question whether she actually reads the books she reviews. They contend that her reviews are always positive in an effort to garner approval from review sites and publishers, contain numerous errors in spelling and grammar and plot points, and are limited to plot synopses, and point out that she must be reading more books than the two per day she claims to read, or that she may be posting reviews written by others."

"The action-packed storyline asks the audience to ponder when does personal need supersede the greater societal good and whether there are scenarios in which not executing a cold killer who deserves to die is needed to save trillions of lives."

What? When is that EVER brought up in the novel? All we see is Gillian and Nick killing people to impress their crazy biotic cult-family.

Dietz has indeed a fine taste.
