That's just it - she didn't turn out to be some ****y damaged ho - she's just got some weak spots hidden under an otherwise normal exterior. We call this characterisation, a desireable quality in good, well thought, beleivable characters.
Okay, so what are the weak spots?
(I am just going to ignore your assertion that Kahlee Sanders is a good, well thought out, believable character. Please don't take that as any kind of assent to that point.)

Progress is being made, yes. This is wonderful. They found it through Kotaku, so I'm imagining there might be a chain reaction happening soon.

Your sarcasm is noted, however, like I said, we're talking about a peripheral character in game tie-in novel. It's nice to see any attention payed to those sorts of details in such works, and I feel like it added to the novels.
classics they're not, but when the author cares enough to give them a background that is consistent with their personality, it is noticed and appreciated - otherwise all we'd have is Dietz style novels.
What personality, though? We can all describe Garrus's personality. Or Wrex's. Or Joker's. Or Miranda's. Even Jacob's! But what's Kahlee's? To me she's just this empty husk of a thing, walking through corridors shooting living creatures while everyone around her gazes on adoringly. She's like Grayson post-surgery, except I find her actually more frightening. What is it that you like about this horrifying creature?
Okay, did you read the previous three novels or not? She makes the mistake of not trusting david anderson for almost the entire book of ME: Revelation, but has a very good reason to do so - she learned not to trust others as she grew up with poverty and I assume, the criminality that goes with it. She cares about the children in her care in the ascension project, despite having a rough upbringing, and acts beleivably, if frustratingly incorrectly in many scenes (she likes paul grayson, and gives him too much benefit of the doubt, because she's enamored with him and that influences her judgement). She's imperfect, but her motivations are consistent with her actions.
Not much more I can say, really. Either you like believable characters, or you don't?

it boils down to the fact I think thats shes too "Normal" ppl seem to hate "Normal" characters....everyone gotta be FUBAR or totaly bad ass beyond reason. Everyone's gotta have these massive personal problems they have to whin and complain about every 5 seconds...but thats my opinion.
But she's not normal. She's beautiful, and she's humanity's top expert on both artificial intelligence and biotics. That's not normal, not by a long shot.

In Ascension she trusted a guy just because he seemed nice, even though he was actually a Cerberus operative, and in Revelation she insisted she go along with Anderson, leading to the whole Saren/Anderson ****storm.

She's not the top expert, she's a top expert.
And why am I being drawn into this, we should be talking about Deception.

Actually, according the the "real" novels: "She's attractive, but nobody would ever call her 'cute'. Her features had a hard edge, like she was looking for a fight."
Read. The. Books.

In my opinion the best characters are the ones where their massive problems aren't displayed, and they become slowly revealed over the course of the story.
But then some characters don't have perfect control over their emotions. Not all of us have the benefit of a stable mind and there's also the difference between "whining" and "complaining" and "telling [you] what happened to me."

I did NOT buy Deception, I handled it with caution, looked at it in disgust, opened it, laughed, took a picture of the front cover, caught the eye of an employee (who knew what I was doing) and left it there.
I bought Asunder.
Lol, my bad then.
(part of me was hoping you were going use it for inspiration for more motovationals though)

I did. I thought they were really, really bad. Some of the worst writing I'd ever read - maybe the worst - and I read a lot of trashy books.

Suspicious and repeatedly makes bad calls when other people's lives are on the line. Nice. And yet everybody adores her and it never holds her back. (Maybe it's because she is one of those rare human females who is quite nice to children in her care.)

She's imperfect, but she never has to overcome her imperfections because she's so beautiful and amazing and a genius and she's naturally blonde. Character development normally is the story of a person's personal struggle to overcome their flaws and become a better person. Kahlee doesn't develop, she doesn't need to develop, because her author already thinks she's wonderful. There's a name for characters like that.
