Grazie. For real, this is crazy how nuts this book is.

Perhaps a short time away from the thread is in order. MLP thread?

Gotta lead on.

So does anything of importance at all happen in the book?

Does Anderson banging Kahlee during a mass relay transit count?

My perception of the Mass Effect universe has changed forever.

Worst part- They didn't notice they relay jumped.

I am almost scared to ask if you're joking.

The name is a joke.  But they actually do that in the novel:

After gobbling a cold breakfast wrap, and been nailed with a piece of fruit that his friend Monar had“thrown” at him, Nick hurried out onto the street where what he thought of as “the processional” was forming up. Sometimes Zon and the other leaders were part of the very visible column of biotics and sometimes they weren’t. In either case the parade was intended to be a display of confidence and power. Both of which translated to clout within the criminal hierarchy that ran Omega.

It's for street cred, you see.

You know, ever since I cancelled my order for Deception, I'm wondering how the book ends.

Can anyone tell me how it ends (through a PM or something)?

Gillian is 18 merely for that line.
I'm certain.

Also for blowing a girl's brains out point blank...and ripping two asari into meaty chunks with a warp.

And of course because she is stabbed to death with a sharpened toothbrush.

These things would be a problem if she was an autistic 15 year old. Of course, they still are a problem, but you get what I mean.

I think her and Nick were made 18 so they could headshot two wholly undeserving people.

Damn, those comments on Eurogamer and most on Kotaku are just ridiculously dumb.
Well, an article about it should at least get the necessary attention.

Part of the Reaper's evil plans, there's a reason why the relays are shaped like that.

Someone like Casey Hudson.

As of right now, anything anyone from Bioware will say in the future will be taken with A MASSIVE TRUCK OF SALT.

As it should in any situation when someone is asking you to buy something.  Not trying to be overly cynical, it's just the nature of business.  Bioware has shown they'll say anything if it will make you buy their stuff.  Most companies will.

Yeah, I know that and I usually take everything with a pinch of salt. But after reading that Tweet, I just became hyper-sensitive to everything Bioware will say in the future.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but you're right: anyone saying anything positive about this book has to take a major hit to their credibility.  And to imply that you've read/reviewed it and ENJOYED it?  Well then, you sir/ma'am are either the worst judge of quality I've ever met, or you're paid to say that and have no qualms with the dishonesty.

I do seriously wonder what individual dev's opinion of the book would be, especially the writting team.

Oh, I agree. I mean Casey Hudson, out of all people should be speaking out against it with a passion. But I guess Tweets like that can happen, when you are bound by corporate laws.
You know, there's a saying. "When money talks, bullsh!t walks." And I think that's pretty much the case with Casey's Tweet. I can't say he honestly meant that, because that would be an insult to the man.

You can just find out here.

All I dug up is killing toothbrushes and cereal-eating assassins.
And humpin' before a relay jump.
And apparently "Biotic Pride Parades" on Omega.
And terrorists with an inferiority complex. (Am I doing it right here?)
And... gyrocycles? Don't know what that is.

I just died a little inside. Again.

And it seems people have edited the Cereal Guy and gave him a haircut... of the assassin, I guess?

Anyway, almost everyone is vague about the ending.
