So we have Kotaku, N4G, Eurogamer and the Escapist covering this now. It's amazing that Bioware is still quiet.

They're shaking in their boots

I think they are waiting for their EA overlords to come up with some sort of plan.

I like these kinds of comments on this issue:

These people have waaaaaay to much time on their hands.
And thats coming from someone who spent the last 4 hours making orogami seals.

And-

Spent the last few days of my time compiling a list of everything that's wrong in a half-baked video game tie-in novel. [Error: Life]

And by "like" I mean "hate how hypocritical people get because it's not something THEY care about yet apparently have enough time on THEIR hands to berate others for wasting their OWN time."

Its comments like these why I generally loathe forums.

I wanted to go and have a chat about the ME3 cast reveal - but two out of every third post is someone claiming BSN are going to go "woe, oversexualisation, /rage" etc.

Its not dialogue, its not discussion. Its just people with so much angst they feel the need to unleash it into the internet in the vain hope they can push the misery of their lives on others.

I wonder who it is that really has the issues here.

Slowly at first, and then with increasing speed, the rings began to spin as the ship closed in. Then, once the Pictor was about five hundred kilometers away, the relay fired and the freighter was consumed by a vortex of dark energy. It shimmered and disappeared. But because Anderson was busy making love to Kahlee he missed the transition from one state to another

Skadoosh.

So who is the sl*t?

Slap DLC to it :P

No I kid, I kid.

I wonder if Deception is even on their Radar at this point - it certainly didn't get the kick up previous novels and comic releases got.

Damage assessment always preface damage control.

As for Anderson and that transit lovemaking ... I guess he's not only a quick shot with weapons, huh. I demand satisfaction, no one makes me doubt the virility of my captain!

So hang on.
Aria is no longer a biotic according to the book?

That'd ought to make life a little difficult for an Asari.
Besides, doesn't she have a daughter? And isn't their means of reproduction reliant on biotics?

She's still a biotic, she just FORGOT she was a biotic.

I'm so proud.

Don't forget the letter from the Wiki. All of this should be added to the OP, perhaps with some choice reviews and facts as well (eg under two star rating on Amazon).

Not only that, but she has hundreds of relatives. The T'Loak family is quite large.

Oh yeah, guess she also forgot T'loak was her cover-up name?

Dietz writes as if she needs biotic body guards to put up barriers for her.

So after storming off on Anderson, Kahlee, Hendel, and McCann on the Citadel, Gillian checks herself into a boxtel - that's right, a "boxtel", which I'm assuming is the Citadel equivalent to a Japanese capsule hotel, that apparently has a shower in the damn place for her to use...

There were eight of them and all were relatives. But not T’Loak’s only relatives. She had hundreds of those. And most disapproved of the way she made her living. More than that, they blamed T’Loak for raising Liselle on Omega and allowing her to live there.

I said this to a friend.

She beat Patriarch in a battle for control over Omega right?

It's all but outright stated that she was the Asari commando that Wrex fought a prolonged, drawn-out one-on-one battle with. On a ship. That exploded. They both escaped alive.

And hasn't she been shown using her biotics in the comics or am I totally imagining that?

As of the day before yesterday I was anticipating this book, yesterday I discovered the list, this morning I read as far as I could force myself through the teaser... I no longer want this book, and it suck because I am a huge Mass Effect fan and usually jump on new content.

Why, Casey? Why?

I feel your pain :(

I was absolutely estatic I was able to get this book early. I just happened to drop by at the local book store and when I saw the book I bought it without a second thought.

Then I got home and started to read it... I was so, so dissapointed.

And then I continued to read it... and got angry.

In Invasion she uses her Biotics every 12 seconds. She defeats whole squads of Cerberus commandos without a weapon.

Sweet, each step like this is a step closer to preserving the Mass Effect universe. Bioware may thank us for this one day.

Thank us? "Damn them" is probably a lot closer to what Bioware is thinking now. Make no mistake, this stand we're making here could cost them a lot of money. Especially with ME3 around the corner, the last they need is bad press like this.

If you look at what happened with DA2, they're actually developing quite an antagonistic relationship with their core fans.

So, what's up ? New mistakes ? :D

I'm not sure. There is at least error related to this in error doc but I'm not sure if this is here:

This scene happens when Gillian tries to get new implant through official suplier:
"... They functioned to create the mass effect fields that enabled Gillian to manipulate dark energy. And some implants were better than others. So it wasn't unusual for biotics to buy upgrades when they could afford to do so."

There, contradicting lore.
For those who also want to check, I have Kindle version and thus, no page numbers, sorry.

Some doofus who claims to be a Mass Effect fan just put up a defensive review on Amazon. Can everyone please go vote it down?

Apparently we are all cynical

Better a cynical fan with principles than a mindless one who doesn't care about what happens to the universe.

But seriously, did she read the book? It's unbearable, even just as words composed into sentences!
