Done and done!
I've really enjoyed spearheading this part of the effort. It's kind of fun to point your finger at something and watch it get swarmed. That positive review has drawn 21 thumbs down in just a few minutes.
Thanks for all the help, folks.

Guess this potential ran dry, he finally outlived his usefulness. The cereal boxes which sustained him were running empty as C-Sec swarmed the building, their constant banging on the windows reminding him of the predicament he was in.
"What are you going to do with me?" said the aged man, the objective of this mission. No answer came, much to the poor man's discomfort. C-Sec has plenty of officers in The Illusive Man's pockets, he just needed some way to reach out and communic-
A whirring noise was heard and a sniper's bullet passed by his face, blood trickled from his chin. Bastards are going to pay for this. He searched around the room, holding the elderly man in a position which no sniper could aim their sights.
"Let me go, please! I swear, I won't butcher your character anymore!' said the elderly man, the assassin shook him and kept telling him to shut up. The situation was getting tense and there was no cereal nearby to calm him down, he knows he's probably not going to make it out of here alive.
Soft knocks were heard upon the rear window, what appeared to be a human dressed in the C-Sec uniform was trying to communicate with the inside. He didn't know if this was a trap but he feared he needed to take this chance, it was probably the only one he'd get.
The window creaked while opening, something which he worried the other officers would hear and alert of potential rescue in the back alleyways. The man slipped a note and small package to the assassin, something which the hostage tried to grab in a desperate attempt to free himself. The officer nodded and walked away discreetly.
"Kai Leng,
You're pretty badass and if you successfully bring Dietz back to our station, we'll implant him with Reaper technology and make sure he doesn't write anything of his own free will anymore. I assure you, we've got plenty of cheerios awaiting you if you survive.
Inside this package is something which our scientists have been working years on, we hope this first trial run proves successful.
- The Illusive Man.
P.s You're the best"
The package was opened to Kai Leng's amusement, it was his favorite instrument of killing, sent by his caring employer to assist him in his time of need. Dietz gasped upon seeing it, his expression quickly shifting from fear to absolute terror.
Kai Leng held his toothbrush up high, it's soft grip making it comfortable in his trained hands. Far better weapon than a knife. Luckily for him, a sniper--unaware of what he was now facing--fired a shot, something which was quickly deflected by the brushes which nine out of ten dentists approve of.
Groans of pain and death were heard from outside, how many did he kill with that one bullet? Twenty? Thirty? He lost count, all he really cared about now was completing his mission. He set the building aflame and took the author out from the front door, only to meet the gaze of hundreds of C-Sec standard issue gun barrels.
---
"Release Dietz, he needs to finish Deception's sequel!" said Captain Bailey, his voice crackling as he turned to gaze at the wounded and dying officers. Bailey knew that if he fought, he'd probably die along with all of his men. He wasn't deterred, the assassin had to be stopped. Here and now.
Bullets soared across the ward's halls, bystanders who watched running away from the grim scene as officer after officer fell dead to the assassin's new weapon. Bailey couldn't fail Councilor Udina, as he required the second novel to be released before the Councilor election.
As the men's thermal clips dropped to the floor, exhausted and steaming from their use, over seventy percent of the officers had been gunned down by their own bullets. What kind of monster is this?
With a smile, the assassin walked towards the vehicles which caused the few men left to abandon their posts. Bailey stood completely still, standing his ground against the man who could easily end his life.
---
Triumphant and sated by revenge, it was finally time to report to The Illusive Man. Dietz was wimpering and grasping at his wounded leg, one of the stray bullets which the toothbrush failed to deflect. The captain which stood his ground against such odds impressed him, enough that he decided that he should compensate such misguided "heroism".
"Here, I want you to have this."
---
Bailey reached his hand out to grab the toothbrush but a safety feature activated, exploding the toothbrush into a cloud of smoke. Bailey quickly reacted and swung towards the assassin's direction, though his fists met nothing. When the smoke cleared, the assassin was gone.
Udina isn't going to like this.
EDIT:
Epilogue:
And the fans rejoiced.

Extremely good! Don't believe the one star trolls.
An excellent addition to the Mass Effect universe. Ignore the one star trolls.
I guess we're a horde of trolls now.
Also, someone is selling a used copy for $26.50

Speaking of which, just added the one from Game Banshee. Anyone got a link to the News4Gamers article? I couldn't find it and I'm really hard-pressed for time.

You just know it's someone that's here, watching and maybe ever posting. If someone wasn't already on it I'd almost be tempted to do it for the lulz.
