Watching ratings plummet is simply glorious.

Edit: damnit, top of the page and I still have no gif.

What, you wanted Bailey to make out with Dietz on a gyrocopter (what the heck is a gyrocopter anyway?) before the whole debacle?

Wait. Forget what I said.

Was thinking more along the lines of Bailey having his life flash infront of his eyes, a flashback of his childhood and when he slept with his formerly-autistic girlfriend that suspiciously looks like Dietz (who he was supposed to marry!!!111) on a gyrocopter warping through a relay.

Well, I think at this point with the thread so large, the ratings going so low, and all of the reports on this story there is going to be at the very least a guaranteed marketing meeting at bioware shortly to deal with the fallout of this.

Works for me.

Besides, I found my first... "suggestion" too inappropriate and offensive, so I changed it to a make-out between Udina and Bailey. Seems more acceptable. And how could I have forgotten the relay jump?!

They need to do damage control, though. This publicity isn't going to help their game sales.

I don't even care about the game and I know this is pretty bad.

So is Dietz supposed to be Homer? Because that would make a pretty good Dietz stand-in for memes. They're both bald for one and have written some trashy stuff in their time :bandit:

But isn't the book separated from ME3?

I don't see how the reception of ME: Deception impacts the sales (or reception or whatever) of ME3.
They are both different storylines, though the story told in the novels is brutally murdered in the last one...

Well this and the fact that the guys who are the unofficial keepers of the universe lore (Mass Effect Wiki) are begging Bioware to pull a Dallas ( the dream season - old reference; "that, uh didn't happen, yeah, didn't happen") regarding Mass Effect: Deception.

Open letter is here.

True, but they aren't exactly known for listening to the concerns of their fans.

It's the ME brand.  Things like this tend to have an effect on other things with the ME brand.

Bad publicity in general isn't going to help sales, regardless if the product is tied to it or not. People see Bioware as a sinking ship, this isn't going to help.

This is just begging for a Tommy Wiseau line from The Room.

I still can't get over how Casey Hudson tweeted last August that this horrendous book is a "really fun lead in to ME3" and that "kai leng is a badass".

Are you using the link on the first page? You need to replace preview with edit if you are.

This seriously has to be the fastest growing thread in the history of the BSN, and probably the old BioBoards too.

So funny how this guy on Amazon literally admits that he rated it 4 stars because he felt it was getting to many negative reviews. What kind of review is that?

He's a POSI-TROLL.
