Happens.

Why make a second thread when it is already being discussed here?

Not to mention there's a link in the OP's post that brings you to that very letter...

Agree, the OPs post is excellent and hes keeping it up to date. No need for another thread.

What did they do to renegades in ME3 then? Oh, you mean Timmy using the Collector Base "for his own goals"?

Without turning this into a Renegade argument thread, most of the renegade decisions backfire horribly in ME3 while the Paragon decisions usually leads to the best ending.

Gillian apparently gets shanked... by a toothbrush.

Well, there's that and both Nick and Hendel die.

Everybody dies in ridiculous ways.

And so Anderson and Kahlee plant trees, watch a sunset and presumably have sex that night.
Happy ending.

I mean consistently punishing renegade decisions from ME1 / ME2 while rewarding paragon decisions. Not just the CB- everything from DLC up. But this is off topic. Feel free to PM me if you'd like to discuss it further.

Going further in the novel. Kai Leng's body count is 1 batarian and 6 humans.

Just Wanted to bring the letter to the attention of those who have not read this thread or the novel.

Seriously can we keep off ME3 topics. I like many here dont want to be spoiled on ME3 topics but want to support this thread.

Honestly, I didn't meant it to sound offensive. I just... well, not properly worded my statement I guess?

I believe if you want to keep the base, by all means do so! I believe there are some good things to be found there, but... well, I like explosions. Big explosions. And total destruction.

Anyway, let's get back on topic before this goes offtopic.

I don´t know if this has been asked before, but was there any particular reason TIM wanted Gillian dead? Just that she wants him dead should put her in a very long list.

Bioware should give discounts from the ME3 to all people who bought this book.

Agreed. I kind of want to enjoy a pristine, unspoiled ME3. Save for the fact that I now know the books have zero impact on it.

For what its worth I'm a big lover of game tie-in novels and how they expand and compliment the universes depicted on screen. Found the first three books to be perfect fits in the me universe but after reading the multitude of failures presented in Deception I can assure you I will no longer be purchasing a copy. Mass Effect should've stayed with Microsoft, the halo books are testament to good author/editor relations.

They'd be standing there for quite a long time. Eden Prime has a really long day.  Dietz, of course, doesn't know that.

Heyyy I never intented to spoil anything for anyone. I just made assumptions...

Not that they were ever going to have any impact on the story anyway. Would probably be too confusing for those who didn't read the novels otherwise.

Microsoft had nothing to do with any of the books, though.

Controversial yes, but it didn't violate the most basic, easily-knowable laws of the lore

Oh, dear GOD.  Do you realize what you just did?

You just solved what Sylvester Stallone was trying to say in Judge Dredd!

"YOU BETRAYED THE LORE!!!"

Quick!  Someone make the Gif!  Move it move it MOVE IT!
