The way dietz portrayed may not be to accurate what you he really meant. The Batarians 'closed' their embassy. So In my opinion they office is still open to them if they ever wanted to come back. I was about to post that you had mixed up one of the parodies that had been posted as a real portion of the book.  I'm glad I decided to double check and saw that it was actually in there.

I guess the idea behind this was to show how professional and dedicated Leng is.

Now all I get is weird association, a mental image of Udina noticing something yellow mixed with milk in his morning cereal and yelling "This is an outrage!"

Remember a Volus walks in on Anderson and Kahlee in bed. So it's not just Leng you have to worry about. Voyeur Volus is also a problem.

For some reason he has no actual surveillance equipment. The only way he can see across the street is through the scope of his sniper rifle. This strikes me as poor planning. Seems like if you had a camera or something you'd be able to take a minute to use the facilities.

I think we've tried to avoid putting out serious spoilers. Mostly we're just trying to find the most ridiculous sounding passages we can. I found the ending in the free preview, and I didn't post that except via pm to people who really wanted to find it.

Reading the excerpts made me cringe, and this is coming from a non-native speaker. I enjoyed the other three novels, but Deception is on par with the terrible Guild Wars books - which, on a bright side, only suffered from a bland writing style.

In all sadness, preorder cancelled.

That's another valid point. All he'd need to do is wear his combat hard-suit. But I guess he's too stealthy for that.
