I can't wait till someone makes a parody comic like penny arcade about this whole thing.
Wouldn't a parody of Mass Effecr Deception be the best of the series with no errors and a terrifyingly competant assasin?

Trust me i do comprehend the distances, Perhaps you're not acquainted with the speeds dictated by a conversation you can have with Ashley where she explains that she took her sister to school "only a dozen light years away - a days journey" this equates to a speed of around 4000C (low) - considering the distance between the citadel and Illium is around 30.000 to 40.000 LY would make it a 8-10 years journey.LordEurope wrote...

Also, Kai Leng apparently travels from Illium to the Citadel on a vessel using normal FTL.
Sure. That'd only take about...three thousand years, give or take.
Actually eyeballing the distance i would say it would take 8-10 years - that's not including the gazillion times he would have to stop to discharge the drive core or refuel.
You don't seem to understand the scale of the distance between them. Those ingame FTL speeds are purely cosmetic.
Doesn't mean that there wasn't a relay involved. A days joruney could be traveltime to the relay and from it. Could be it takes a few hours from a relay in a cluster to a system.
well it does preclude a relay involved since it was in the same system - only system to have two relays is the omega system.
That can't be right. 24 hours traveltime within the same system? That would mean travel time betwenn clusters would be days or weeks.

Oh okey. So basically traveltime with from one end of the galaxy to the other would be 15 years? Seems awfully fast.

There is some discrepancy between the lore and the games here. In the lore you use the omnidirectional secondary relays to travel within a cluster, while in the games it's done with normal ftl.

Btw, found another lore error. In the book Omega is apparantly still an important source of Eezo.
Now, thanks to both the element zero mines and its location deep inside the lawless Terminus systems, Omega served as a tax- free port where pirates, mercenaries, slavers, assassins, and criminals of every race could trade, rest, and enjoy their profits.

The the personalities of the characters are backwards, the time line of events are way off, and the issue that I find to be the worst out of all of this mess combined is that the book completely disregards Gillian's autism as a "phase".
I am autistic myself and I am INSULTED by this. From my personal experiences autism is not some stage that just comes by and is never seen again. It is a serious disability that remains with you your entire life and will NEVER go away no matter how much you try to ignore it.
That piece of trash needs to be either re-written and re-edited, or completely ignored all together. It better NOT be considered cannon in any way, shape or form untill it is either fixed or disregarded completely!

Is that suggesting the Eezo mines are on Omega - or just in the system?
The use of 'the' instead of 'its' before element zero makes me wonder what was actually implied.
Still - element zero mines off of the station would have every batarian and his varren bullying people off to mine it.

Basically, the map pointing will be mentioning where the order is right now, and how it will almost be to the bunker.
"Soon, I'll be enjoying learning more about the Mass Effect Universe"
"Deitz..."
"Deitz completely bastardized the Mass Effect canon. The reaction is so bad that even the Mass Effect Wiki is thinking of declaring the book non-canon"
*reaches for glasses*
"Everyone who thinks Mass Effect is just a video game, leave the room"
