Yeah, some of the most ridiculous passages that we've been laughing at this week have nothing to do with lore issues.
Like Assassins breaking into houses and eating people's cereal. Stabbing folks with sharpened toothbrushes, eating Mexican food, etc.

is very detailed and so far has an extensive list of many errors. How can so many errors be overlooked? It doesn't make sense and it's quite a disappointment. While reading the story, I did my best to ignore these faults and reserved any judgement until after I read the whole thing.
I'll let the list speak for itself, but the book was disappointing if nothing else. IMO, the book accomplished nothing except to kill off a few characters from the previous novels.

Hey everyone... for those who don't know, I'm one of the admins at the Mass Effect Wiki. I've been skimming this thread, and first I want to say thanks for all the kind words said about our letter. We're just trying to do our part to bring this matter to the forefront and seek some redress (or at least an acknowledgement of the concerns of fans everywhere) from BioWare, as are you folks here.
Now, regarding the points above, about Facebook and social networking, here's what I can add. We've posted the full text of our letter to the Facebook page for the Mass Effect Wiki, where it has gotten good reception, and have asked others to share it. We've also had a few folks from Facebook and the Wiki forward the letter to the Twitter accounts of Casey Hudson, Mac Walters, Chris Priestly and Jessica Merizan. And, for what it's worth, since that was done, Jessica Merizan has liked the Wiki on Facebook and also liked a comment referring to the fact that she and others at BioWare were sent copies of the letter.
Hopefully this adds a little bit to the discussion. Keep up the good work here, and we'll keep working on our end. Hopefully BioWare will listen to the fans on this one...

Yep, we've been dissecting this stuff for days now.
Yeah, that's been the other big topic of discussion. Some things we can integrate more-or-less seamlessly (even if it doesn't make much sense - like the batarians suddenly having an embassy), but others will be more problematic. Other parts, like volus walking around with exposed skin and not dying due to toxic atmosphere and low atmospheric pressure, and batarians having Tantalus cores, will be much harder to reconcile.izmirtheastarach wrote...

Solidarity. I think we all approve or your letter.
I really do hope we get some resolution, so you guys can figure out how you are going to integrate this terrible book into the canon. It's going to be a tough job otherwise.

Could be an entertaining attempt to reconcile it with the actual ME lore.

The one that seems to have people at the Wiki up in arms the most though is the fact that Gillian apparently up and grew out of her autism. Lots of comments on that one...
