Has anyone read any other of Dietz' books? I've heard he isn't exactly a newbie at writing.....
I haven't, but there's much to be said about Halo: The Flood. Some like it, some absolutely hate it.
A lot of people tote it as the worst Halo novel ever made.
Its why I was worried almost a year ago when I heard Dietz was doing this novel.
And look what happened.
I was right.
wait, dietz did this before?
Written a novel that many fans hated for its franchise?
Yep. Look up Halo: The Flood.

Halo: The Flood was quite good, as tie-ins go. Its writing and fluency was miles better than Deception's.

Yes. He does they. Just happen to be. Structured. Oddly is. All. Opened. Opened. Open.
Can you imagine William Shatner doing an audiobook of Deception? It'd fit his speaking style perfectly.

Watch all the people who think you work for Bioware say, "BIOWARE RESPONDED!"

Don't tease me. That would tickle my fancy.

Of course, this was one of the first strikes we did. Jase's idea, we helped him out doing it, and he credited some of us in the video.

Merely a what if. I can't even come up with an idea that could work anyway. XD
What other sites can we contact then?
Word of mouth matters, so big sites like IGN would be good targets.
Oooohhh, I seriously doubt they'll say anything. Their former employee was just announced as a character in the game, after all.

That and they have massive boners for Mass Effect.
You'd think they'd care, haha.

Hmm...Shows that "professional" doesn't mean more that you get paid for it. I've seen fanfic so far above ME:Deception it makes me mad if I think who's getting the recognition from those who don't know better.JoeLaTurkey wrote...

He's been a novelist for decades, and still doesn't understand the basic structure of these things called "sentences"

Bioware: Ah yes. "Deception". The infamous novel that discarded all previous Mass Effect lore. We have dismissed that claim.
That's what we're aiming for: Deception's dismissal from the canon
Yeah I know. If they could get the Turian councilor to voice the apology, the rage would vanish.
Does anyone know how long Dietz had to work on this book?

I'm still pushing for someone to make an image of Judge Dredd saying, "YOU BETRAYED THE LORE!"
Would totally make that my profile pic.

Even if they do, criticizing them right now would not be a good PR move between the two.

It was announced in April 2011, presumably it was planned and the writing began before that.
I remember someone saying they'd first heard of it back in 2010?

During the month where Bioware's ME3 campaign's about to kick into high gear? HELL, no.
