I haven't, but there's much to be said about Halo: The Flood. Some like it, some absolutely hate it.

A lot of people tote it as the worst Halo novel ever made.

Its why I was worried almost a year ago when I heard Dietz was doing this novel.

And look what happened.

I was right.

Yep. Look up Halo: The Flood.

Halo: The Flood was quite good, as tie-ins go. Its writing and fluency was miles better than Deception's.

He's been a novelist for decades, and still doesn't understand the basic structure of these things called "sentences"

Hmm...Shows that "professional" doesn't mean more that you get paid for it. I've seen fanfic so far above ME:Deception it makes me mad if I think who's getting the recognition from those who don't know better.

It was announced in April 2011, presumably it was planned and the writing began before that. 

I remember someone saying they'd first heard of it back in 2010?
