Someone requested these a while back. Not very good, but serviceable, I hope:

OOOOHHHH, YEEAAAHHH.  Now THAT'S what I'm talkin' about!

Thank you, Joe Pilot.  Gonna make this my profile pic right now!

Edit: Or not.  Didn't realize you couldn't really do that on this site.

And now I'm thinking of the Cornette Face as an appropriate reaction to the book

From what I gather Dietz is not even a gamer. How did it happen that he came to make a living off writing tie-in novels?

Imagine the Dairy Queen Jim Cornette incident but with Drew Karpyshyn as Jim Cornette and William C. Dietz as the Dairy Queen employee.

Well, we don't want to give them the impression we're not pissed off, and that this kind of laziness is acceptable.  But we don't want to be rude or overly hostile, so yep.

Non-wrestling fans don't even know what a jobber is.

Speaking of which-

Dietz is a writing jobber.

Ironically, Dietz previously made a good name for himself writing military SF (in his own universe).  He was always a midlist writer, however.  It was his shift to working on the IP of others that his writing became more questionable.

Cause all he cares about is his own work.

At least, it seems that way.

"Response to the novel has been almost universally negative, prompting many fans to petition Bioware to disregard the novel as canon."

You bet your ass.

Oh nonononononononono ... see a complete disregard is not good enough. See you get a better author and re-write  the whole book. Because disregarding it as established canon means that it can exist in AU and  No this crime againist fiction needs to wiped completely clean.

And yes it should be publizied because when you do something this  bad you deserved  public scorn.

Well thats  sad because if he had done better  job with this... it could have translated to  people(myself included)reading his other work.  Now... not a chance.
