She told the Biotic Underground leadership about an idea of hers to take down Cerberus, she had no plans then.

Only after she finds the data does she make one to use Leng as ransom.

"Okay," the asari said hesitantly. "But how?"
It was the question that Zon was supposed to ask--and Gillian felt a momentary sense of satisfaction. Then, based on a plan that seemed to create itself as she spoke, Gillian told the biotics how they could kill the Illusive Man.

Again, better luck next time, because this is like she telling them about plan how to kill TIM.

You haven't read the book have you? Paul left her a lot of information about Cerberus. Just as much as he gave Sanders, perhaps more.

How Paul Grayson gave here these files is a big issue, but they exist.

I read it and obviously much better then you so I know that she used that magic info pendant after proposing her plan about Leng.

Better luck next time. Image IPB

Ok fine, I was wrong. But when she starts creating a plan to take down Cerberus Leng is not mentioned, I just checked the book. So her plan was to try and lure TIM out by capturing one of his agents and using him as ransom?

But only AFTER she checks the pendant does the Biotic Underground go after Leng.

I keep confusing this thread for a stickied thread because of it being on fire and the amount of posts/pages.

Jesus.

This is exactly what is so horrible about this book. The writer writes himself into a corner, then pulls a solution out of thin air. And he doesn't even bother to check how his solution affects the plotline.

The difference is that her condition is explained in a previous book. Yes the author handwaves it, but at least in the ME unvierse there is a reasonable explanation to why she got better. I am not saying it's not bull****.There is none for Shepard was brought back to life, except "It's magic"

According to previous books she is autistic. She has always been autistic. Cerberus may have worsened her condition but they didn't cause it. There is no explanation (no, not even "magic") as to how she is all of a sudden a neurotypical person now when she wasn't before, ever.

Better check it again - Chapter eleven, first article

However, if the biotics were able to track the man called Leng perhaps Gillian would find a way to take advantage of the situation.

We had some fun with photoshop, but there's only so many ways to say something sucks, when it is so bad we can't even entertain light-hearted debate about it.

At this point, the only question is was the ****tiness deliberate, lazy and callous, or an accident due to crunch, etc.

Personally I'm leaning towards the former.

Even if Dietz said that the Quarians had cured her Autism through magic, at least that would be an explanation. Better then no explanation at all, which is what we get.

Anderson and Sanders both know who Leng is and how high ranked he is though. Would it be that improable they mentioned Leng?

I'd rather no explanation than magic, to be honest.

Not debate the finer points, mind you - we can do that all day.  I meant the general consensus the book is poo.  That right there is a first (as far as I know) on these boards.

IMO, that Tweet should be added to the OP. It's just as unbelievably ridculous as the book itself. Maybe even sligthly more so.

Something could have happened that would explain this other thing that would explain something else. Of course, none of it is actually in the book. But I don't mind writing my own book.

Chapter 4 - complete dialog between Giilian, Kahlee and Anderson, before she left. No mention about name Leng or about his importance.  Next time they see her dying at the end.

YES.

We successfully got IGN's attention and they did as I knew they would- contact Bioware.

WE'RE DOING THIS.

From the IGN article:

"We've reached out to BioWare and will update with any comment we receive."

Ha!
