I'm not trying to derail the thread and/or get it locked, but I fail to see your point. You come into a thread full of people whose opinions are opposite yours, sermonising about a letter that they had nothing to do with. Then, when called on it, flamebait. It's one thing to disagree with either this thread or the MEWiki's letter, but it's another to try to convince people they are wrong for disliking a subpar product - you can't honestly think that's a "logical" position. If it doesn't bother you, via con Dios. But clearly, that isn't the case for everyone.
So the only purpose in entering into a discussion on this forum is for people of like opinions to post? I disagree. This thread had nothing to do with that letter until a member affiliated with both communities posted the letter in this thread. Thus bringing this community into contact with a that letter. There are people on this board that update the Mass Effect Wiki. Thus the letter spans both communities.
As for flaming, that was hardly flaming more or less sarcastic responses degenerating into perceived insults. If I wanted to flame bait I would be more overt in my wording. Making fun and poking fun at other members of this forum has always been a cherished pass time. Nothing is personal about it. I stated my stance. They disagreed. Any hurt feelings on their part is their own, I have no control over that. People can and do disagree. Conflict arises. It's how you discuss those differences. Come to an agreement or agree to disagree is par for the course. But to think that you cannot have opposing opinions is assinine.
