Ouch :(. I saw it for £5 on amazon and thought that was expensive. Unless the exchange rate balances that out and i paid the same.... :blush:

Whoever had the 4-star review that was actually negative pulled it to let the rating drop. Makes in funny, because now the most helpful favourable review that gets displayed beside mine says 2 of 55 people found this helpful.

And they let Dietz make him an ineffectual moron who runs around with no backup, breaks into houses to eat cereal, and then gets himself captured....again, because he has no backup.

That'd be nice and all, only that's not the reason TIM gives for wanting it back, and he also brags about learning enough from the experiment to make an "army of Graysons".  He already had all the experimental data.  He got it at the end of Retribution.

I just can't get over his utterly wrong descriptions of Omega - from reading just this novel alone, you'd think Omega was the equivalent of a future "Chinatown" for all the sh*t that he writes it has having. :pinched:

As for flaming, that was hardly flaming more or less sarcastic responses degenerating into perceived insults. If I wanted to flame bait I would be more overt in my wording. Making fun and poking fun at other members of this forum has always been a cherished pass time. Nothing is personal about it. I stated my stance. They disagreed. Any hurt feelings on their part is their own, I have no control over that. People can and do disagree. Conflict arises. It's how you discuss those differences. Come to an agreement or agree to disagree is par for the course. But to think that you cannot have opposing opinions is assinine.

And to be fair, the whole body-stealing scene was pretty much the best and the coolest part of the whole book. I just wish the rest would have been half as good.

It's true, the morgue scene is pretty cool. Kai Leng actually acted like himself, cold blooded, ruthless, deadly.

No worries. It looks pretty funny now, though. I've even got that guy to admit that he thinks the book is crap and should be recalled. And I don't think the traditional Amazon rules apply. No one who is a fan is going to like at that page and thing the book is a good buy.

This is Dietz misunderstanding and exaggerating the lore.  Biotics are prone to building up a static charge, but it's nothing so dramatic as he portrays.  It's more like what happens when you rub your feet on the carpet.

Yup, i think Bioware had alot of control over what they wanted to include in the story. 

I can guess they wanted Kai Leng to kill Gillian, to make him more of an antagonist in ME3
And they wanted a tie in to Cerberus's adjutant army.


The problem is that all of this is horribly written into the story. Cerberus taking Grayson's body for PR reasons, Gillian dying in a completely anticlimactic way and The information about Cerberus's army coming from a source that couldn't possibly have known about it, or sent the information for that matter.


That's assuming anyone would actually give a **** about Grayson.
