Point taken. However when I brought it up I compared it with the apparently impossible batarian raid of Pavalen, not with the retconning of Gillian or Hendel.
We should make a distinction between things that contradicts canon and things that are unlikely. The raid to Pavalen is unlikely, but it doesn't contradict canon, so it shouldn't be grouped together with the other big errors.

This is Dietz misunderstanding and exaggerating the lore.  Biotics are prone to building up a static charge, but it's nothing so dramatic as he portrays.  It's more like what happens when you rub your feet on the carpet.

As said earlier, he and Akira Toriyama probably had a conversation while it was written.

I can't be the only one thinking now that a Dragon Ball Z / Mass Effect crossover would be crazy awesome. Shepard versus Frieza?

The Citadel has a daily murder rate hundreds of times higher then the United States. And 22% of those killed are human. Kind of feels like there would be a travel advisory or something. Also, this morgue sounds really creepy.

One. Scene.

I ended up feeling sorry for him. From a scary BAMF to a chew toy in just one book.
First, Gillian's escape from Afterlife forces him to pee in a vase and he can't even kill her. His stake out is ruined by a street gang. Then, when he is just trying to get some happy bowl (must be Karma from eating Anderson's cereals), the restaurant get shot up. After that, he is captured with extreme ease by the biotics. His escape attempt culminates with him being slammed on the floor, his girlfriend is killed. he is forced to kill someone with a toothbrush and, finally, he needed daddy's help to get out of Omega.
All in all, I have no idea why Dietz decided to use the, supposed, Anti-Shepard as comedy relief.

Except the asari air kissing should have come up in the past if it was actually a thing that existed.

Speaking entirely for myself, the problem I see is that Asari air-kisses aren't actually a thing. Also, if they are a thing, they are one of the dumbest sounding things I've ever heard.

See, here's how it's portrayed in Ascension, when Kahlee takes Nick's readings:

Kahlee reached out and touched him gingerly just above his collar, bracing against the tiny spark that jolted the tip of her finger. Nick jumped slightly, though he was more used to it than she was. Biotics often gave off small, sharp discharges of electricity; their bodies naturally generated static, as if they had just walked across a carpet in wool socks.

It may be a bit of a charge, but what we're talking here (actually, what Dietz is talking here) is a full-on mini electrical storm.  Biotics, at their free-electronniest, produce a small ZAP when touched.  That is all.

How about "the subtle twinge of vertigo when the motion dampeners kick in"?  We did plenty of space travel in ME1 and nobody mentioned vertigo.  WTF BIOWARE
