I wish BioWare made some sort of statement about this soon. I hate seeing its name dragged in the mud over this.

Then again, what can they do at this point? The damage is already done...

It's all right and proper to give the book the total, inescapable, excoriating critical drubbing it deserves, but let's not turn this into a Twitter/FB 'lynch mob'-hate bombardment at Dietz personally as that would by a) dispiritngly unedifying and tragic, and surrender the 'moral high ground'.

TIM pretend before Gillian, Zon and Leng, that his holo is really him in crematorium. But all holos are semitransparent in ME and no one should mistake it with real persone.

Somebody posted about earlier and this has bothered me as well. Could be explained with some sort of technology that we haven't seen earlier.

If the reason was because their attention was far more focused on ME3, I'd be willing to give them a pass. 

That's not to say this book shouldn't be disavowed by them, it should.  I just think Bioware has a heckuva lot on their plate with ME3.

 

I don't think I can accept this as explanination ..even with ME 3 coming  I would actually be  incrediable pissed if they did that because that is not owning up fact that someone  dropped the ball. Don't use the fact that  ME 3 is a big title coming as an excuse, pass and get out jail free card. You let yourself be bought by EA to play with the big boys and  your editing department and quality dropped the ball badly. 

Now that would be a fine explanination if there were some minor mistakes or the book just was not  that good but this thing is so off the mark. It should not have made it past the editing desk

I just checked Dietz from Wikipedia and it appears he is 68 years old. I'm not saying that he isn't responsible for his actions, senile or anything but maybe this should have been taken in account when EA, whatever looked for someone to replace Drew.

Yeap, BUT in ME3 trailers TIM still using transparent holo.

Alright, just put the Kai Leng/Nick error into Lore Errors - I also made it a red error, since it's kind of ridiculous that Nick doesn't remember the GUY WHO SHOT HIM NOT MANY MONTHS AGO.

The closest I've come to harassing is making a few snarky comments, I'm not going to threaten the guy or insult him outright (yet). I have no problem with the guy outside of this one issue, and it's a pretty huge issue.

Yep, I have seen them. I was just toying with idea that even Dietz made up alternate projection technology. Cerberus tech.. uh, no I don't buy it either, but it's a difference between error in established tech lore or just oddity.

If he can't handle dealing with cristism that is rightful given when you write a novel based in universe with this many mistakes. 


Then he  should not be an author because  honestly ...we are being rather polite  about this.
