I think would should have a "worst-written single line" contest in here. I'll submit this as a contender:

The Illusive Man’s thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a tone.

I would still go with :

“I’m sorry,” Kahlee replied, by which she meant she was sorry about the choices Gillian had made, the people she had killed, and the fact that she was dying.

Still cracks me up :D

I am thinking (hoping) Casey just has his hands completely full with ME 3 a month out. Probably didn't get a chance to actually read it...

This is what I believe. He doesn't really tweet much during crunch. I figure someone just used his account to promo the book. The alternative is that he read and approved of it, which seems impossible.

Casey has to be dead tired lmao.

This is one of my favourites:

“I’m sorry,” Kahlee replied, by which she meant she was sorry about the choices Gillian had made, the people she had killed, and the fact that she was dying.

P.S. Anacronian Stryx I just duped you without realizing. Hah.

That Kahlee line can only be properly read in an incredibly serious tone of voice.

Hang on, hang on!

Where's the one where Kahlee seduces Anderson by talking about "dessert?"

It was on here at some point.

Yet? Please let that be a joke.
As much as I love Bioware and their games, they're the ones who should take the blame for this massive failure. THEY are the ones who green lighted this novel, and decided to make it available for purchase. The Dietz guy was hired to write a ME novel, he failed miserably, but posting **** on his twitter and facebook isn't going to change anything. I think they guy realizes by now that he screwed up, but Bioware should have caught the majority of these mistakes in the first place. Give the man a break.

While I agree with most of this, I also have no trouble recognizing that aside from all the issues that Mass Effect fans have, this is a terribly written book. No effort went into it. Unless it's intentionally written at a 6th grade level, in which case it's insulting to it's intended audience. Either way, no one should feel bad about criticising it. If this is a representative of his work, he doesn't deserve a career.

Now that may sound harsh, but the market should be a meritocracy. If someone can't write a better book then this, then they shouldn't be a proffesional writer. And big copmanies like EA certainly shouldn't be paying him as though he were one.

^ Exactly this complete... nothing really anyone has said or posted has been harassment.. Tough hard critism which is rightfully deserved.. yes but harassment  no.

Oh crap after some quick research I actually think that it's Grayson that shot Nick. However Kai Leng was present and still tricked Nick into attacking Grayson. So the issue still remains in Deception.

I don't want to be redundant, but this thread moves quickly and the list should be correct!

Kahlee smiled as they strolled out into the artificial sunlight. “A naughty admiral. I like it. Come on,” she said. “I’m in the mood for an asari stir-fry tonight.”
He grinned. “And for dessert?”
“That,” Kahlee said, “is for me to know and for you to find out.”

Someone should ask Mr. Dietz how he likes the general reception to his book.

Just when I thought this book already entered the deepest realms of messing with the Characters Personalities THIS comes up...

How much out of Character can something be?

And you should still complain to BioWare instead of giving them slack because "they are busy making ME3 great". The book shouldn't have gone public on this state. There's no excuse.

The answer to that question is obvious, there's no need to ask it.

Plus, that'd be low.

Its come up quite a few times through this near 400 page thread. What pisses me off about this tweet is, not only has Casey completed a final review of Deception and approved it. But it was tweeted on the 11th of August 5 an a half months ago. 5 months and no one at Bioware noticed any of these lore errors before release.

Please tell me that this is not the case...please because  if it is ... I'm  now going to have serious, serious question to ask about Bioware going forward.  Alot of things i can excuse but letting something like  Deception get buy and worst approving it... not good and good at all.
