This is very true, I know I cancelled my pre-order and I've probably seen at least 10 people in this thread cancel their or say that they are no longer planning on buying it.  One person even got a refund.  So considering this is only a a small microcasm of the fanbase we can hope that those outside of it get the reviews and news and reconsider their purchase.

Have you seen the ratings of this thing on Amazon? That's a lion's share of sales cut right off.

It remains to be seen what is going to happen saleswise but I don't really mind about people making one liners in Joystick articles or anything because media visibility is the most important thing.

I think there might be certain kind of wisdom in the crowds. When people see product panned there are of course people who need to express their feeling against something they like (Mass Effect) but in general I think people have learned that those with the biggest mouth may not be the most information of the subject.

Those anonymous people may get curious, check Twitter, google, read this thread and save their money.

It's something really great what people are doing here.

Yeah it's unreal. Again, united BSN is scary. Even moreso when it channels itself in such ways.

Yep, I mean the reviews. The only 5-star one isn't even real. It's written by someone who gets paid to 5-star everything she sees.

And I don't know about that "below a certain amount of stars" thing... It certainly wouldn't hurt in this case.

Very pleased with those results. My review went up 30 seconds after they unlocked at 3AM and it was top of the pile when I got up in the morning. Was worried because I couldn't direct people to it since the BSN went down for maintenence at the same moment, but people thumbed it up anyways.

Kept on it all day, sending the hordes to take down good reviews, and add bad ones. We've tanked them on Amazon.com, .ca, and .co.uk. Also the canadian retailer Chapters, and B & N in America. All in all, worked out pretty well. I had fun.
