Now look at it.
Just as we predicted, after we spread it and the novel was released, the dislike/ridicule has extended to pretty much everywhere.

It's that bad, and worse.
People are not exaggerating this time, if you can believe that.

what's even worse is that when you read the beginning where the shooting is mentioned, it appears to be Grayson who has shot Nick not Leng. Now I must say that I don't remember who exactly shot Nick, i have to check Retribution for that but if Leng shot Nick, then Dietz totally paints a different picture of that at the beginning of Deception.
I went back and checked, and it is Grayson who shoots Nick at the end of Retribution, not Leng.
It still doesn't excuse Nick not recognizing him in Deception, however.
My mistake, it was Grayson - but you're right, it doesn't excuse Nick's random amnesia.

I am amazed at how many gaming sites have picked up on it, too.
Mind you, most of them are saying we're overreacting, but hey, they're reporters, they're supposed to be morons.

No one is ignoring you.
As for doing anything to help, just showing your dissapointment is more than enough.

I'm leading this thing and I'm talking to you. You are not ignored.
The best thing you can do to contribute to the effort is to keep posting(follow my example, I've been responding to as many people as I can).
Also, spread the word everywhere you can. Keep up discussion in other places too(although my focus remains here at the core of where this all started).

Ironically, as most of them are nerds, I promise you at some point or another they have fan raged, too.
And I bet you when they did it, it was not even warranted, unlike this travesty.

We've had a thread for this book in Clan Zorah for a while now. Everyone there hates it too.

Some people are. Exaggerating the minor issues to look like major ones.
Most of us aren't, however. We'll bring up the minor stuff, but our biggest gripes are with the huge errors, such as the lore, autism, homosexuality, etc etc.

Even if not for those errors though, it's still attrocious writing.
Either way, this book is written worse than a piece of toilet paper after it's been used by a man with explosive diarrhea after eating a lifetime supply of beans.

Well there's plenty of people online ranting about this novel's idiocy.
Thousands upon thousands across many websites.
You're not alone. Don't feel that way. Find positivity in negativity. We're all together working to get the drivel disavowed from the Mass Effect Franchise's lore.

As I was saying earlier, it's actually really something to see the whole community coming together for once.

I like how it wasn't really an exaggeration.
But seriously, it IS bad, and for once, the exaggerations are warranted. At least, I feel they are.

That and I consider this a joint operation. I never felt it was just us doing this, or that I'm leading everyone ever against this.
Its the Bioware Social Network working with The Mass Effect Wikia guys.
And together we're making a hell of a lot of noise.

I don't blame you. We're all putting our passion for the franchise out there the more we slam the novel.

So Germany has joined the myriad of other countries slamming the novel.

OH GOD, is this book even in German? Can you imagine what a mess the translation must be if there is?
