then stop trying.

its just easier to pretend that the book (and all that happens within it) just never happened.

IT NEVER HAPPENED.

Just like Superman 3, Godfather 3, Matrix 2 and 3, and Twilight.

THEY NEVER HAPPENED <_<

What is this Matrix 2 and 3 you talk about?

nothing. I must have been halucinating when I wrote that, because there never was any sequels to matrix. Just as there never was a book that magically aged Gillian 3 years, cured her of authism, made her completely psychotic and stupid, and then killed her by stabbing-wound-by-toothbrush.

and Wish Twilight never happened... I used to like Vampires then  I took a Twilight to the brain.

Deception Audio Book Update

Here's the first part of Chapter 1: www.youtube.com/watch

If you haven't seen it yet, watch the prologue first: www.youtube.com/watch

Second part of Chapter 1 is uploading now. ^_^

I've just listened to all three. Excellent work. You actually made it worth listening to. ;)

I have noticed by listening to it, though, that Dietz likes to use "And that..." a lot. So I'll now think of him as William C "And that" Dietz.

Oh and also, the line "...Grayson rode the gleaming shaft..." made me wonder what kind of book this actually was. >.>

I'm not done with the book yet, but how does the events of Deception 'invalidate' the Invasion comic?! I think I read that somewhere.

In Deception Aria swears never to work with cerberus again after discovering that Kai Leng killed her daughter.

In Invasion she enters an alliance with Cerberus right away.

Has it been confirmed that Deception takes place after Invasion?

That's even worse! It means that even after Aria was thrown out of Omega by Cerberus, she was still willing to work with them.

Listening back to that audio, I realize that Dietz literally says the population of the Citadel is more then 13 million, and then later says that there are thousands of murders every day. God, this man is a fool. I mean, honestly. That has nothing to do with Mass Effect, or the lore, or anything. It's just dumb. Daily murder rate hundreds of times higher then anywhere in the world, and he just presents it as a common fact. How is that believable in any way?

Yeah he really didn't think through the murder rates. Dont know how this guy is considered a professional author.

You keep telling yourself that... I can't even watching Being Human with a straight face because... hell I  can't even will myself to see Underworld and Kate Beckinsale in skin tight leather ... why because of the  damn Twilight Sage.

Kate Beckinsale  in skin tight leather and  all that keeps coming to mind... is freaking sparkling EDWARD...  all because now  everytime I think about  Vampires  it equals Twlight...  its almost like its  a Reaper and its trying to assume direct control.

Dietz in the same house as  Meyers and this house  is not a happy home.

Not enough in the world but  I think we should try to get Deception put under the Book category for High Octane Nigthmare Fuel.

Just did some math. If we are nice to Dietz and take "thousands of deaths per day" to mean 2000 natural deaths + murders per day, the average life expectancy on the Citadel is............

19 years.

I'm good at blocking things out.  Reading some crossover fanfiction of Alucard (Hellsing anime) ripping Edward and the whole cast to pieces also helped.

Here ya go.

If BioWare actually says something, I bet I'll probably hear about it long before we find our way here. Lol.

I liked the (non-existent) Matrix sequels better after reading these essays on them. Doesn't mean I agree with some of the implied philosophical or religious messages, but I still found them more enjoyable afterward.

If you take away the Birth rates, there would be no one left on the Citadel in about 18,19 years either.

The average daily murder rate in the US works out to around 45. So on the Citadel thousands die every day. Hundreds of those are human. Hundreds are unidentified.

Hey, I found a lore mistake inside this one! How can they be unidentified if the C-Sec scanners can sample DNA from skin flakes?

I guess if some of those deaths aren't muders, there must be a ton of elderly folks on the Citadel. What they are doing there I have no idea. Maybe you could retire to like a real planet or something? I kind of figure most people who lived on the Citadel where there for work.

Very good point. In the lore of Revelation/ME1 the citadel is always described as an extremely expensive place to live ( same as the centres of megacities on earth). It would make no sense to live there unless you have to. And it makes even less sense that there is a slum there.

And of course the slum is full of people. Just teeming with people. How did they get there? Who knows. Why would there be a human ghetto when humans generally have no reason to travel there? I don't know. There's that Dietzean logic again.
