That's your answer. A gyrocycle isn't the same as whatever that picture is. 

According to the book, in the MEverse a gyrocycle is a motorbike... thingy... with 'gyro-stabilisation'. 

Hence the wheelie, two wheels, etc...

Yep, but it's still a mistake. Dietz didn't know that such thing actually exists. Calling two wheel motorbike a gyrocycle make much sense and neither does adding gyroscopes in it because bikes work because of gyroscopif effect already.

Edit: Clarification - Adding gyroscopes to gyroscope would be stupid, that's why we don't use them.

I'm not going to defend this book, but I do have a problem with the issue of Gillian's autism. Wasn't it already stated in Ascension, Gillian's autism came from the meds Cerberus gave her, and that, after she didn't get the dose of meds anymore, she started to improve? I do apologize if I'm wrong though, it's been a while since I read Ascension, but I do remember characters in the book stating that the autism became less when she didn't get drugged, hinting that was the cause.

It's mentioned in Ascension that she has it before Cerberus did anything to her.

It's entirely plausable that what Cerberus did to her made the symptoms worse, but nothing can "give" you autism, and nothing can magically get rid of it.

My bad then, forgot she had it before. And about the "nothing can give or cure autism" part. They brought Shepard back from the dead. lol

I kinda wish Dietz would have used a new set of characters instead of using Drew's characters. Even though it would still have a lot of mistakes, I believe it might have been a better book. Shame.

Has anyone considered a fan project to 'fix' the book? By that I mean a re-write of sections of it to bring it into line with canon, such as eliminating the age discrepancies and Hendel's sexual preferences?

Topic has been touched earlier and I think the concenus is that the only purpose this book has is to tie up character loose ends.

I have also speculated that BioWare might had a deal with book publisher for 4 novels and after Drew left EA/BioWare just hired someone to write 4th. one so they could fulfill their part of the contract.

They have thousands of the best scientific minds on the  word from all fields  from medince, physics, theology, philosphy, psychology,  Biology,  and  other flieds trying to discern  the answer to this very question...

no progress has been made of yet.... they  keeping running  into on issue... some how a 12 yr went from 12 to 18 in 3 years.

Finished through chapter one. It takes a lot more effor than I thought it would. But I have fixed a great many of inconsitencies and lore/canon errors  already. Please PM suggestions and the like to me, or check my blog, on
