Dude, read the 50 page preview instead, then come back here and see that everything people here have been saying this P.O.S. "novel" is 100% on the nose RIGHT..... <_<

Usually there are always two sides to anything on BSN. For the first time in a long time everyone on BSN has agreed on something. Thank you Dietz for bringing us together.

Okay, so I hate to burst bubbles, but "as our ancestors will it" makes sense as a translation.

1. "Keelah" is used in places where a human might say "God."
2. We know the quarians practice(d) ancestor worship.
3. Thus, keelah sel'ai is similar to in shaa'Allah, but with the good-luck connotations of godspeed.

So, in short, it is a blessing, a reminder that things happen partially due to a divine plan, and an affirmation that an action is destined to succeed all in one.

To be Frankenberry, I thought that Kai Leng was going to be Shepard's equal, you know? Someone with Trix up his sleeve, who was going to keep Shepard in Chex. With this revelation, however, I don't know if I can take him cereal. This does not make me Cheeri-o.

It's not the meaning so much as the clumsy, I'm-writing-a-technical-manual way the translation was provided.  Plus, I've  heard from someone who read the leak that it's also completely wrong.

Oh, no arguments about the ******-poor writing.  And I agree that "ancestors watch over you" or something would be more appropriate.

I don't recall reading the translation in the leaks, but I ain't goin' back in there.  March 6 is too close.

Yeah they have deinately either retconned Gillians age or got it wrong, cause if you check out the timeline on the Mass Effect Wiki, it works out as her being 16 in this book =S

Seeing on how they did it too with Nick it's probably for morality reason, we can expect some sexual/murder/death situation in the book. Maybe even turning them into bloody killer.

Hell seeing how bad the preview is I wouldn't be surprised to see any important book character who hasn't a ME3 plot armor being killed by the author with less than two line for each to stay at his writing level. I've read enough book like that before to see something that bad coming, I hope i'm wrong.

I only read the preview and already wan't to keep the money for something like the Art of mass effect book, i'm not sure I wan't a book like that in my small collection of english books.

Drew's books?  Fine. I've never been one to praise them to the skies, but they're solid, coherent novels that get the little things right (with one notable exception, but nobody's perfect. And no, I don't mean the Udina thing).  Deception? An abortion that continually gets even the most basic of ME facts wrong, gets the events and characters of the previous novels wrong, and barely makes sense.

Now that said, it IS goddamn hilarious.  It is the Mass Effect answer to The Room.  Or maybe Birdemic.  Either way, pretty @#$%ing awesome.  For all the wrong reasons, mind you, but awesome nonetheless.

After reading the first 50 pages of Dietz I now think that Karpyshyn's books were a state of the art. Not just lore wise but also logic wise. The council is even dumber in this novel than in the games.

So what is it this time why people don't like the book. Is it the too much detail in describing things, grammar, typos? What is it? And please no huge rants.
