So, I've managed to discover that Aria has a mansion on Thessia, and she went back there to bury her daughter. And I dug this out:

There were eight of them and all were relatives. But not T’Loak’s only relatives. She had hundreds of those. And most disapproved of the way she made her living. More than that, they blamed T’Loak for raising Liselle on Omega and allowing her to live there.

Oh, really now? The T'Loak family? THAT DOESN'T EXIST. IT'S A FALSE NAME:

I have nothing to fear on Omega. That doesn't mean I want to broadcast my past to the galaxy.

I've had a few careers, a few names. Commando training, mercenary leanings. I've kept what was valuable and dropped the baggage.

So, yes, I had money to start this operation. I also had creditors who thought they were more entitled to it. I let them chase a ghost... or several.

It's relatively easy to outlive a salarian. But not their record-keeping.

No reason, from your perspective. But there are plenty of people out there with long memories.

Aria T'Loak: She's Omega's number one citizen. But what do we really know about her?

Did she ride her limo there?

Even without all that, she's pretty much a freaking Matriarch at this point, so I can't imagine she'd really have any family memebers left alive, not to mention hundreds of them.  Plus, Aria struck me as the kind of daughter who would kill her parents in their sleep anyway.

You would think that Aria of all people would have severed ties with her family. I mean... goddamn.

Private message.

Speaking of which, could I get one as well?

Sent. I myself didn't know whether I should laugh or cry when I read it.

I don't even know how to feel about this... there are no words.

Thanks though!

I told my stepbrother about all the inconsistencies in Deception.

He then got mad at me for telling people to send the message that it needs to be disavowed from the lore.

From his perspective, they shouldn't even be selling it if its that inaccurate and poorly written.

And he's mad I didn't tell them that.

I didn't even know about the T'Loak family section until didy posted it.

Yes, T'Loak is a fake name. Meaning there is no way there is a T'Loak family and no way in hell there was a reunion.

Searched for the term 'limo'.  Yes.  But it turns out the stupid only starts there:

Next came the heavily armored stretch limo in which T’Loak and the other family members would ride, closely followed by the hearse, and what looked like a black delivery truck. Except it could open a pair of roof panels to fire missiles at air and ground targets. That was unlikely of course, especially on Thessia, but the price of power was powerful enemies. And T’Loak never took chances she didn’t have to.

I LOVE that last line.  Yeah chances like, say, going to Council space where you're universally seen as a criminal, in order to bury your daughter when you could have just stayed on Omega and had a funeral there.  In private.  You know, IN CHARACTER behavior.

You could blow massive holes through this story, and its ALREADY swiss cheese as far as making sense with the lore goes.

They need to review this again. Invalidate the story, disavow it, expunge it, anything.

So... how drunk do you think any one of us would have to be to churn out this story?

Wow.

It just keeps getting worse.

Amazing! An author that makes more incorrect and poorly researched assumptions than Cooper Lawrence!

This is a great day!

Talking of IC behaviour...

Aria is co-operating with Cerberus in Deceptions. To achieve her own ends, but anyway. After the events of Invasion. Check the wiki for what happends in Invasion (I don't want to post the spoilers here), but from what we know of her, co-operating with Cerberus after that seems pretty OOC for me.

Also, according to the timeline, Invasion is supposed to happen before Deception. Again, check the wiki. How in the world does that work?!

Blunt force trauma really gets the creative juices flowing as well.

And I don't know who that author is...

Hey, at least she apologized for not doing the research.  Dietz takes pride in his tale.

I'm about 99% sure that William C. Dietz and Peter Chimaera (author of the fanfic "doom repercussions of evil") are in fact the same person

No, Deception is supposed to take place before Invasion.  Don't know where the wiki got the idea it comes after. Maybe they heard about the age-up of Gillian and just assumed it happens later.

Thats why I don't hate Cooper Lawrence. She made a huge mistake and apologized, even if it was likely to save her book's sales and reviews(which didn't recover).

Thing is, Cooper was SHOWN that she was wrong.

Dietz hasn't really been shown anything yet. He was told to look at this thread, but do you think he did? I highly doubt it.

For Dietz to realize he dun goofed, someone has to actually SHOW him whats wrong.

I don't care if he knows that he ****ed up this book or not. As long as he never writes another ME novel again I'm happy.

Finally remembered who Cooper Lawrence is.

The thing is, she just jumped the gun when she made those claims - she heard some hearsay and overreacted.

****in' hearsay.
