Or a quarian. My first impression was that it's just incorrectly written clan name - Mythra'Zon sounds similar to Daro'Xen, - but then I remembered that Dietz doesn't use clan names.

No, she's definitely an asari. There's a rapturous passage about the effect of her voodoo sex mojo on Nick.  What makes it funnier is that someone mentioned that he later starts calling her "Von", which absolutely is a volus name.

Don't worry, I remember "asari-style air kisses".

Unfortunately.

Tweets! Can you PM or post a link?

Finished my final review of the #MassEffect Deception novel. A really fun lead-in to #ME3! Kai Leng is a badass. January 31 release.

I refuse to believe he actually read it. It had to be someone who is subordinate to him though.

It truly is questionable whether or not that was really Casey, considering he should be more busy with Mass Effect 3's development than the reviews of books. Personally I find it has to be either someone else or him just bull****ting so these books will freaking sell. Either way, if the fans could notice these errors, you bet that the mastermind behind Mass Effect must've spotted them miles away.

What's even more odd its not up on his public profile.  (I'm not too familar with Twitter so yeah)

No, it is. It's just from August, so you need to do some scrolling.

Ok Im officially annoyed at Bioware. Casey knows something we don't and to top it all off he read its months ahead.

I find it mildly funny, that Bioware hasn't commented on all this.

They never do...

They will eventually. Give it time. Technically the book's not even supposed to be out yet.

Well, I have to admit Casey is right: it is fun...in it's own special way. Maybe that tweet is one of those Obi-Wan "certain point of view" things.

He's the lead designer, of course he knows something we don't.

Burning it sends a pretty solid message.

A overreacting message, but a message nonetheless.

Yeah, not the best way to express it but I'm a hardcore Mass Effect fan through and through, reading this book really killed a lot of my love for it and I've suddenly become overwhelmed with skepticism of Mass Effect 3's story telling being up to speed.

Yeah, I know, totally different writers and Mac Walters has given us no reason to doubt his abilities, but if BioWare somehow greenlit this atrocity without a second thought, they're either really blind, stupid or desperate to get it out of the way so they can go back to an actually decently written work of art. Either way, this thing needs to suffer for filling me with dread and I hope BioWare take notice of it.

It's fun if you treat is as some kind of funny dream some person from ME universe had, then forgot it soon after. This crap cant be canon, i refuse to acknowledge it as such.

If this was any indication of a plot coherence in ME3, id be very very worried...

It's hilarious. In fact, if someone else is planning to burn their copy, they can send it to me instead. I'd like to put it next to The Room.

Seriously. I am totally head-canoning this dirt (and any line directly referencing it in ME3) from existence.

There seems to be dozens of new people posting every day. We've certainly had a bunch of people come in specifically to ask for opinions on the book, and whether they should buy it.

There isn't much a summary of that wreck can do to clean it up.

Well so far we could ignore inconsistencies. The overall story is going to end up being canon anyway.

There is not much they can effectively refer to in ME3. No one who has not read the books would have any idea who the characters are. I say they won't mention it at all.

Well, I could sum it up in a single word:
"Meaningless".

Yeah, thank the gods for that.

Sorry, but Gillian and Hendel are still in uncharted territory in my brain. Canon schmanon, and it takes a real zero to get me saying that. I very rarely say anything of the sort.

Please add a line to the end of the book that says: "And then everything went dark. And then Anderson suddenly woke up in his bed. "Damn what a weird dream that was!" He said thoroughly confused.

I mean you have to repair the damage done somehow...

I don't see how they could possibly accommodate it. I mean, I'm not super-fond of Evolution, but that's actually able to be rationalized, if they felt like it. It'd be awkward, but achievable.  But Deception? It just can't be done.

Oh, BTW, it was mentioned he put a sequel hook in involving one of his new characters.  Which one was it?
