Imagine the audiobook version of this novel being read by Jar Jar Binks...or someone worse.

Elcor.
"Insincere endorsement: You have not experienced the Mass Effect universe until you have read it in the form of "Deception". Disingenuous assertion: Written by critically acclaimed author William C. Dietz."

That's meta as hell.

Ha ha ha, so much win.

So have any devs or anyone in BioWare commented on Deception? Has anyone of them even posted in this forum??

It's like they're hiding from us..

They sure as heck aren't going to say anything until at least several days after the book has entered street sale.

Did you see the trailer with all the spelling mistakes yesterday?

Nope, saw a tumblr post today with a detailed listing of everything wrong in the book and I was like "Are you serious? That's the basic stuff how do you even fail at that."

So does this novel tie into the Illusvie Man's motivations for siding with the Reapers in ME3 in any way? Does do anything to develop his character in a way to lead into ME3?

I'm a hetero that loves and tolerates the gays, so Hendel's sexuality is supported gosh darn it.

Hendel+Jacob.

It'll happen.

Only one thing. He started doing really stupid things in this book, so alliance with Reapers isn't suprising now.

Nah.

Which is sad because a skilled writer could have inserted a few sly references, but nope.

Nah, brah.

Well I'm out like a trout for a while. Gotta wash my hands of this blatant deception with some good old-fashioned everything else in the franchise. For now that means working on my current file.

Yuoman is saying a skilled writer could have done something sly. Dietz did nothing of the sort.

Huh? I've read both the excerpt, and the Google Books preview - I've been complaining since the early days of the first thread. I was saying that a writer other than Dietz could have done some foreshadowing, but not Dietz.

Well, apparently Cerberus is recruiting on Omega (only to take it over with commandos a few weeks later...) and had up signs saying "Cereberu is ready. Answer the call."

Yes. Cerberus is (was) actively recruiting people on OMEGA of all places for people to join their cause.
