From book. Is real. Not joke.

Leng, who had made use of the Beggar King’s services before, entered the steamy embrace of the restaurant and followed a long warming table loaded with bins of food

Ok, I don't even wanna know about Beggar King's mascot after seeing this statement.

Kai Leng was sitting at the kitchen table eating take- out food when the alarm began to buzz

So as Leng stood there, spooning salarian curry into his mouth,

There is a lot of fun stuff about food.

Oh, I get it now. Dietz must have been stoned when he wrote this....it's all coming together.

At least he could've gone to the "Fish Dog Food Factory". I'm sure there's one there. Because really, would you eat at a restaurant named "Beggar King"?

Dietz Logic!

I actually might agree with you. I read some of his other books. I really enjoyed Halo; The Flood but its like from what people are saying that he was trying to make a crap novel. So are the other two books pointless too!!!!!!!!!!:crying:

I have absolutely nothing against him. But seriously Bioware didn't pay much attention to him. I'm more mad at the heads of Mass Effect now. You killed it. Not the series God I hope not.

I have nothing against the guy personally, but he really shouldn't have been put on this project... bad things happened.

Wow, I was genuinely looking forward to this book. From what I can see Dietz has really done a number on the pretty good track record that was the ME novels. Too bad I already pre-ordered and paid for it via Amazon...

Can anyone just sum up the "good" aspects of this book for me then?

Thanks,

-Hawk

I wouldn't doubt his writing ability he's wrote many other books. I beggining to suspect that this goes to the top.

It's shorter then others?

No, really, it's hard to answer this, because that little good in it died under avalanche of that bad things.

I liked Arrival from a gameplay perspective. As far as storytelling went, it was patently average, and the characterization was pretty crummy.

Well you're right it's not "bad". But it's not really what I consider "good" either.

Anyways isn't Dietz one of the writers for ME3? And even if he isn't or his role is minor, it's still troubling those in charge of the IP let something like this tumble out. Granted I probably shouldn't talk til I've read it myself, but the fact I have yet to see anything good about the book in a 80+ page thread probably means I'm not going to like it either.

There... aren't any? :P

No no no no no. Far from it actually. This was an outside job. Dietz was contracted by BioWare to write this on the side. He has no affiliation with anything having to do BioWare whatsoever (thank the Maker).

Well, nothing except Deception anyway.

Here it is, people. The video some of you have been waiting for!

Be sure to keep an eye out for your name if it pops up. Hope you guys like this, I spent a good while trying to get it right.

And yes, I thought it was fitting that I'd wear my N7 Armour hoodie for this.

Good god, are you serious? I was really looking forward to this book. It *would* have been just what I needed to tide me over until the demo in February...

Well looks like I just wasted 10 bucks.

Nope, Dietz is just a contract writer they had write the book - otherwise he isn't affiliated with Bioware in any way.
