Nick wonders at one point if his light armor was a mistake. This because he sees a girl his age wearing medium armor. I'm really close to drowning myself here.

He really should have put more points into his armor skill - but he thought that pistols were so damned useful.

But before the Parsus or any other ship could dock with the Citadel it was necessary to get rid of the powerful charge that had accumulated in the ship’s drive core during FTL flight.

Holy cow! This actually sounds right. So, in answer to that guy who was asking what in the book is good, Dietz gets a thing right. One thing. Hooray!

This is only the start of the anger for this book IMO. Wait until it officially comes out and I bet everyone will be creating and posting all sorts of crazy stuff.

Dear lord... Dietz could've at least played through some of ME2 and found out that light/medium/heavy armor classes no longer matter in the Mass Effect universe. :pinched:

While I do think they do matter and still exist. I agree theirs no point in mentioning what type of grade armor your wearing.

Well I would imagine they matter somewhat in the universe at large, but he seems to focus on it when it's really a small detail.

Seriously, an offhand reference to "secondhand Hydra armor" or some **** would have been a nice little reference, not this mock-worthy **** we got.

Hehh in Retribution Drew described the suits in a very generic way, basically armor/suits all have the same basic function. Sure some are made a little differently probably according to the manufacturer, but the whole Light/medium/heavy thing I thought was mostly abolished...

I'm confused about the part wth Liselle's funeral, which is really badly handled, not a surprise at this point, does he say Aria was raised on Omega or Liselle? Liselle right? <_<

Well I'm going to have to call it quits but, I seriously hope Bioware takes some serious notes and I'm glad none of this foolishness will appear in ME3. Disappointed that such great characters are nothing but pointless.

You know, in Revelation, I always found it really silly how Kahlee was able to tell her assassin was an imposter from the model of gun he carried (Alliance officers always carry Lancer IIs!), but that's nothing compared to how far Dietz pushes the armor issue.

Thank goodness for no "HAIL HYDRA!" quote to reference Captain America...

I remember seeing a Tweet from Casey Hudson saying he had just read the manuscript and thought it was great. At this point I gotta think he couldn't have been serious. I have more faith in his judgment than this.

Because Drew designed Mass Effect from the get go. I know Star Wars must be awesome to him but, why leave a IP with SO much potential?

What happened next came as a complete surprise to the krogan as Gillian triggered the biotic power called “charge.”

Dietz literally has the characters playing the game in the book.

But real police forces and militaries have set models that they carry too, it creates uniformity and saves money.

Well, if he hadn't left, we wouldn't have gotten the Revan novel. And I really don't know what would have happened if someone else was hired out to write that-ME had to take one for the team.

Something i noticed that i haven't seen discussed yet:

When Kahlee and Anderson are going to see the council the security they go through (retina scan) is absolutely primitive compared to the security Shepard goes through just to get on the Citadel in ME2, which is a DNA scanner that can verify who he/she is through armour and despite being dead, all in a few seconds.

Apparently, security has recieved a serious downgrade since ME2.
