Why would a man she divorced more then twenty years ago be involved in her son's life otherwise?

I guess we could say the same thing about MassEffect :Galaxy. Not an entirely entertaining game but still canon.

I definitely think that dossier is meant to read as indicating that Anderson has a son. Otherwise why would his ex-wife want him to visit him for the holidays. Seems pretty clear.

Because unlike Bioware dating sims, life, love and relationships are complicated, multifaceted things. They didn't divorce because they didn't love each other, they divorced because he always put the military first in his life. It's possible that her son has military ambitions and for that reason wants the approval of, and a relationship with one of the most highly decorated, highest ranking alliance officials, who just happens to be his mom's ex-husband. Networking, sort of. And if Anderson still cares about her then he would likely do her the favor of helping where he could, but from the sound of the email, he doesn't do much, which is why she is pleading for him to come see them, for her son's sake.
Also, deception blows.

You can believe it anyway I see it right now. Its not like IMO it will mean something in ME3.

Well, I'm sure if Bioware wanted to make it explicit, they would have. A lot of the dossiers have vague stuff like that.
Good job keeping us on topic though. Deception is crap. That's the topic, right?

No, no. Those were my words. To put this as harshly as possible, this book is really not very good at all.

Oh, we're tilting at windmills, no doubt. Just a fun discussion, albeit off-topic.

OMKeelah! I CAN"T BELIEVE THIS. I was so hype to read this book and......... this ruined it for me. And I'm not blaming anyone(except for Dietz(why Dietz, WHY! this story had so much potential)who f*cked it up) and I usually don't get things ruined for me. I mean for some of the things Jeff pointed out I thought could be forgiven but ........... the way they portrayed Aria,......... the way the timeline gets ****ed up.........WAY to much exposition........Kai Leng being unprepared........I'm DP'ed. This story should've token place AFTER invasion. It's like Dietz didn't get the memo on ME lore. Or he did get the memo and he wiped his f*ckin a** with it and threw it in our faces!(thanks angry joe) Man , this story should've been written by Mac or Drew..... man I'm disappointed.
Were here for ya.

Is it still considered "Amazon Bombing" if you haven't read the full book, but you know it sucks to high hell?
I would. But then again nothing is going to stop people from doing it anyway.

I just thought the term was used to describe poor reviews for a product that were retribution for often unrelated offenses, but in this case, it's a bit different - it's awful, and we all know it. I certainly don't want to waste MY money on it, but I want to spare as many other enthusiasts as possible from wasting their money as well. Given the generous previews, how much of this monstrosity must I read before I can tell people it's unadulterated ****ty************ with a clear conscience?
Nevermind, I just answered my own question.

Am I the only one that isn't really excited about Dietz taking over Drew K's series?
He could see it coming.
But nothing could have prepared any of us.
I am not just a Prince, I am a Prophet.
And everyone's favorite Prince is back in the thread.
So supposedly someone hates me? What's going on there?
I WANT DETAILS.
