I never read the DA novels, unfortunately. If Mr.Gaider still writes them, I imagine they are not degrading immensely in quality like this has.

Serious answers, please. I mean, there's the 'deception' that TIM pulls in the last, oh, ten pages of the book. The one that was never hinted at, never was a plot point and required 300 pages of other things to happen beforehand. The one that was nowhere near as closely related to the events of the novel (if we can consider it to even have a central plot rather than a bunch of flailing characters) as the words 'revelation, 'ascension' and 'retribution'. 

But really. What is the deception? Why was it chosen as the name? I'd really like to know.

I told my stepbrother about this the other day and he got mad that they were gonna sell it. Rather than just disavow it from the lore as I suggested, he thinks they need to quickly wipe it from existence.

Unfortunately, when it comes to huge brands like Mass Effect it's very hard for the books to not sell well. Ever heard of the phrase "Too big to fail"? Lore fans will grab all the lore they can, no matter how bad.

Just hope it does badly enough for someone to give a damn...

We've convinced MANY people here on the forums to not pick up the novel, but I hope words gets out beyond the forums and people realize this novel is a waste of time and money.

This book is like the DA2 of Mass Effect, if anyone ever says they like it, it always comes with the addendum that features M, N, O, P, Q, R, S, T, U, V, W, X, Y and Z were bad, but "it's worth giving a go".
